I gasped coming out of the hole in the bottom of the lake. Nancy helped me up and then sprinted off in the direction of the shout. Eddie came out next who coughed when coming out of the eye-shaped hole. I stopped breathing looking around at the dark world around me, we should be under water right now.

"(y/n) that Sword of yours would be really helpful right now," Nancy shouted and I shook my head running over to them. Slamming the katana into the bat's body it stopped moving and Steve gasped being able to breathe again.

"Nancy look out!" Eddie shouted.

"Duck." Nancy listened and I sliced the bat in half. "Nancy robin get Steve." I cried out, seeing Eddie use an ore to hit a bat it came towards me which I sliced in half also. Panting heavily not seeing any more I used the cloth to wipe the dark blood off the Katana.

"Do you guys think these bats have like rabies?" Robin said while staring at one of the dead bats.

"What?" Steve said and I walked over to him staring at the wound.

"We should take you to a doctor because once the symptoms set in you're already like dead." A screech followed Robin's sentence and more bats were coming. Swinging my katana around everyone stood behind me as they flew down into the hole.

"There's not that many we can take them right?" I stepped back seeing hundreds flying toward us.

"You might want to rethink that Steve. There's no refill for my gun and this Katana will go blunt going through half of them." My back hit Eddie's chest who slid his hand down to hold mine.

"The woods come on."

Heaving to a stop under skull rock I tried holding in my coughs while the bats flew past us.

"You got an inhaler on you?" Eddie whispered and I nodded taking a few puffs.

"I don't know if I can run like that again." I coughed out and he rubbed my back soothing me.

"Oh shit," Steve said and I saw the blood dripping from his wounds.

"Shh sit down," Nancy said and I knelt down next to them going through my satchel.

"Ok, I've got bandages, water, disinfectant and a stitch kit." Nancy and Steve stared at me.

"Why didn't you mention that sooner?" Robin whisper shouted at me.

"Can you clean a wound while running?" Rolling my eyes dabbing one side while Nancy did the other.

"Why do you have that all handy on you?" Steve hissed out and I swapped the water for the disinfectant.

"Bullies are shitty and I'm a loner so I perform first aid on myself. That and Katanas are sharp." I whispered looking at the bits. "The best thing we can do is bandage you up you'll need a skin graft for this large wound." Standing back up near Eddie, Robin looked at me.

"You were bullied that bad?" I nodded looking ahead at the trees.

"People always find something to pick on." She looked away for a moment agreeing before kicking at the ground.

"So uh this place is like Hawkins but with monsters and nasty shit?" Eddie said while standing on a rock near us which I was sitting on earlier today in the normal world.

"Basically yeah. Thanks (y/n)." Nancy said handing over what was left. I took a mouthful of water handing it over to Robin.

"So everything here is the same apart from people and theoretically we could go to the police station and get guns and grenades."

"Yeah, I highly doubt the Hawkins PD has grenades Robin, but guns yeah sure." Holding my hand out to help him down Eddie gripped on tight not letting me go.

"Well, we don't have to go all the way downtown for guns. I have guns, in my bedroom." Nancy said and I arched an eyebrow at her.

"You Nancy Wheeler has guns in her bedroom?" Eddie let go of my hand taking off his outer denim jacket and throwing it at Steve. "For your modesty dude." A sudden stake stopped our conversation and I fell backwards into Eddie. Gripping on tight to his arms we hugged each other until it stopped. "Yeah, so more guns sound like a pretty good idea to me."

"Yeah me too." Robin panted over not too far from us.

"So what are we waiting for." Steve walked past us while Eddie helped me from the ground. By this point, I was covering my mouth and nose with the shirt I wore. It didn't help much but it was something.

"Couldn't we have gone down a road or a path or something?" Robin said just before I had a short coughing fit. She turned to me walking closer before wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "I'm not hugely aware of asthma as a whole but is there any way for you to stop coughing."

"Fresh air, you got any in your pocket?" Saying this before having another puff of my inhaler. She immediately let go of my shoulders.

"Right sorry." She breathed looking at the ground to avoid a vine.

"This really isn't how I thought spring break was gonna go." I wheeze out holding in a cough.

"Were you hoping for something more romantic than walking through a dark dimension?" Robin batted her eyelashes at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Well, I planned to talk about going back to LA. Originally so I could go and sell a bunch of my scripts to movie and theatre companies but now I'm not so sure Hawkins is a fun place to be." Robin laughed a little which I'm surprised she can do in this bleak situation.

"At least it's not boring." I shrugged at Nancy as another heavy earthquake rang through, we three girls crouched down to the ground.

"Ok on my list of least favourite things earthquakes come in second." Nancy abruptly started running away from us as the earthquake still went on. I waited until it stopped to move which Eddie took the moment to get me off the ground.

"Come on."
