Eddie was sat on my couch while I dabbed a wet cloth over the blood covering his chest. He had several bites but they would heal quickly if taken care of. He hissed as I went over a wound.

"I wish you had told me about this sooner," I whispered and Eddie chuckled lightly.

"I was going to mention it but you know when the earthquake hit and you were driving it didn't come to mind." The earthquake was just over an hour ago, the power only just got on so Dustin was calling his mum. "Thank you for you know saving me there." I scoffed at him rolling my eyes.

" Dustin hurt his leg because of you." Eddie hummed staring at me as I started dabbing disinfectant on the around his chest which I got hisses from him. "About what you said before. To Dustin when all the bats." Eddie smirked at me when seeing the slight blush on my cheeks.

"Well yeah, I meant every word of it. how I wanted all those bats to fuck themselves and..." He made me laugh and Eddie chuckled at me hissing once more.

"Sorry," I whispered and Eddie stopped me from finishing up the cleaning.

"I was hoping you'd say yes." He mumbled mostly to himself, I bit my lip glancing away for a moment to suck in a breath.

"And who said I'd say no?" A cheeky grin spread over Eddie's face as he leant up a little to kiss me before groaning.

"Fuck." He let go of my hands gripping onto the couch.

"Calm down big boy." I giggled kissing his forehead starting up again with the disinfectant.

"Thank god that call is over," Dustin called out walking in while I tossed another cloth to the pile. "You doing alright?" He said to Eddie while they clapped their hands together.

"Great little man. (y/n)s almost finished right babe." I looked up at him biting my lip.

"Not exactly. Some of these need stitches and since we can't go to a hospital."

"Oh fuck."

With the tools sterilised I began stitching up the wound, for most of it Eddie was fine but every now and again he hissed.

"Can you get me a clean damp cloth Dustin?" He nodded leaving as I finished up and once a wipe-down was finished on his chest and his arm with a bite mark on it I wrapped everything up in bandages. "Alright, we're done here." I breathed sighing finally able to relax a little. Eddie fell asleep on the couch not long after and while cleaning Dustin came back not looking so good.

"I got hold of Nancy, they're mostly alright." Frowning settling down the tools I used before I crossed my arms.

"And what does that mostly mean?"

"Max she's been put into surgery." My lips went into a thin line as I pulled Dustin in for a hug.

"Did you want to be there? I could drive you?" Dustin shook his head sitting down on the opposite couch to Eddie.

"Mum said the roads are a messy and people are everywhere. She said to stay here for the night. I think we need some sleep." I chuckled nodding knowing the last two days didn't really have much sleep in them.

"You said it. I'll get you some blankets." Dustin nodded lying down and was already asleep when I got back for blankets for either couch. Covering both of them I went upstairs for a well-needed nap.

I slept until the next morning. When waking I found myself being held by Eddie who was still asleep lying flat on his back since everywhere else was in pain. It would hurt more today for him so a good breakfast is needed. When trying to get up Eddie held me in place.

"Eddie baby I'm making breakfast. You need sleep." He whines a little but let's go and I head down seeing Dustin snoring in the same spot. Rolling my eyes I had a long-needed shower before starting on breakfast. Can't cook with dirty hands. Making pancakes Dustin came walking in when the first few were made.

"Morning. You to get up to anything last night when Eddie woke up?" He asked and I arched an eyebrow at him.

"I was sleeping surprisingly after the uneventful week we've had," I said while pointing a specular at the window where you could see a red glowing cutting across the lake in the opposite direction of the house thankfully. Dustin giggled grabbing the plate and coating it with butter and maple syrup. "What did Eddie say last night that would make you think otherwise?" Dustin shrugged eating a mouthful of pancake.

"He said to cover my innocent ears."

"Good morning demon slayers." Eddie groaned yawning at the bottom of the stairs.

"And he wakes. You know we were just talking about you." Eddie looked between us, particularly at Dustin's smile.

"What exactly?"

"Just about us apparently not sleeping last night." Eddie chuckled whacking the back of Dustin's head.

"That was a joke man. No need to be telling the misses. She's very protective of you ya know." I slid three thick pancakes over to Eddie who kissed the air to thank me.

"I don't need protection." I scoffed at him making my pancakes now.

"You didn't know how to use a shotgun yesterday."

"I see that as a positive thing. Children shouldn't need guns." He pointed a finger at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Nor should they be fighting off demonic creatures in another dimension yet here we are." His finger retracted as he regretted what he said.

"Good point."
