Damian was frustrated with himself.
The clock in his mind was viciously ticking, the days turning hot and spring-like as his years at the academy were slowly coming to an end.
The students here were all ready for departure, they were mostly brilliant, some athletically gifted, others academically, and although Damian wasn't too bad in either category, he wished that time could slow down even just a little.
Damian knew he hadn't completed one of his biggest priorities. It was pretty ridiculous now that he thought about it. How many years had it been-since elementary probably, and he had never been able to tell a certain person about how much he liked her.
He didn't know what was wrong with him. He had experienced so many opportunities to do so and yet each time he'd come up short-handed due to his flustered demeanour. His face would turn red, his speech would become unclear and his emotions in a whirlwind.
His pink-headed crush in front of him never seemed to pay his demeanour much mind though. She would simply stand there in mild confusion, blinking rapidly as she tried to understand just what the hell he was talking about.
He frowned lying his head on the table as he sighed gently.
What was wrong with him? Why had he waited so long?
These days those two questions showed no problem weighing down his mind and causing him great headaches.
Despite all of that, only one thing truly registered in his mind.
Damian liked Anya and only had one more year to turn that liking into something more.
