【SERENITY】
𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓮𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽When Anya woke up, her thoughts were not sorted out. It was quite the opposite actually. She was a mess, both mentally and physically. Her pink hair was frazzled all around, her eyes stared up at the ceiling with a groggy and tired expression and in general, she was in a mediocre mood.
It seemed only two seconds after she opened her eyes the memory of last night had been smacked back into her. She had a frown on her face a second after and was shocked that this was happening to her.
Hadn't it only been a month ago that the thought of Damian had barely ever crossed her mind?
He had never been someone she lamented much about at all. He didn't have much of an impact on her life, he had just been her classmate...the classmate she had punched in the face when she was younger.
She had been so unaffected by him before which made it even crazier now that she found herself thinking about him so often.
She could be dozing off in class and he would cross her mind. She could be studying and somehow his name would appear on the paper. She could be painting, talking, anything and her brain would autopilot-Damian, followed by- what's wrong with me?
It was frustrating. So very frustrating.
Anya was now fully awake and sitting on the couch as the smell of pancakes filled the air.
She seemed to remember Becky's words from a while ago.
"You sure?"
Was she still sure? Was she still certain that she and Damian could never be friends, that they could never be more than friends as well?
Her face flushed a bright red at the thought that had just crossed her mind.
More than friends?
She immediately got up from the couch she was sitting on running to get dressed. Loid who was making breakfast watched her race past him and looked at her with a confused expression.
"Are you alright Any-"
She didn't have time to hear the rest of his sentence as she zipped through her room putting on a larger cardigan and a pair of white shoes. She needed to get out of here as soon as possible. She was going insane.
More than friends?
Was she high or something? Her...and Damian? Her and Damian?!
She ran from her room racing through the space to make it out of the apartment. Her hands gripped the front door handle and yanked it open so she could run out.
Loid followed her immediately, "Anya where are you go-"
"Bike ride," she responded promptly as her feet rushed down the stairs.
It didn't take her long to get her bike. It was pink. She had been obsessed with the colour pink for a long period of her life, and considering she still fairly loved the colour she had no problem riding this bike.
She rolled the bike out, adjusted herself accordingly and pushed off the ground propelling herself forward so she could ride through the area.
Feeling the wind through her hair relaxed her immensely, and her thoughts calmed as she pedalled a medium pace through the area. Her eyes looked up at the sky above her as she smiled a bit.
She could finally think clearly now. Her mind was finally free of the unnecessary filler that had been crowding her mental space.
She was going to see Damian tomorrow. She had checked her phone this morning to see a message.
🖌️: how's sunday? wanna come over then?
She had replied yes, of course.
She was excited.
Damian made her happy.
She just needed to... relax first, relax at the thought of being around him, and so far she was relaxing. This bike ride was curing her frazzledness second by second.
She braced herself for downhill as she gripped the handles a bit more, the bike racing against the pavement. She pedalled a bit faster on the uphill and when she made it to the top she stopped.
More than friends?
...
...
...
She wouldn't mind that.
She wouldn't mind that at all.
