I was walking around the mall carrying the bags of groceries I bought. I held the bags using my left hand and tried to fish my phone out of my bag using my right hand. "Da-mn! Where are you?!" I was trying to find my phone inside my bag when I suddenly bumped into someone. "I'm sorry. Sorry." She said it's fine but she told me to watch where I'm going.
Nasaan na ba kasi yung phone ko?! Kailangan ko pang itexy si Tita na walang stock ng soap na ginagamit niya and I don't know why. I should ask her where I can buy pa so that dadaanan ko nalang ngayon para hindi na ako pabalik balik sa mall. Marami pa akong paper works sa bahay na nakatambak. "Oh sh-it!"
"I'm sorr-- Wait... Melody?"
Double shit!!
"Cleyton?!"
Tinulungan niya akong pulutin yung nagkalat na groceries ko dahil medyo malakas yung pagkakabunggo niya sakin. Actually kung hindi niya nahawakan yung braso ko siguro tumalsik na ako. He was mumbling sorry habang pinupulot namin yung groceries. While I was cursing inside my head. Why do our paths have to cross again?!
"Here." He said and handed my the bags. "Nagmamadali ka ba? Let's have some coffee para makabawi manlang ako sa abalang nagawa ko."
Coffee?! No! Hindi ko ata kayang makasama pa sya ng nas matagal. Sh-it. Ngayon palang nga nanginginig na ako! What more mamaya?!
"No need. Okay lang naman. It's--"
"I insist. We have some catching up to do, don't we?"
And upon hearing catching up, I tried so hard to breathe normally but indeed, we have so many things to discuss, so many things to explain.
He helped me carry my bags as we were walking to Starbucks. Umakyat kami sa second floor since puno na yung tables sa baba. "Wait here. I'll order first." I was about to fish my wallet out of my bag when he interrupted. "My treat." He smiled first before leaving.
I tried to calm myself. What the actual fu-ck?! Is destiny playing games with me?! If yes, then it should stop already! Because I'm not sporty! I hate games! Ugh!! Of all people, ako pa talaga at si Cleyton ang napili niyang players?! Da-mn!
