Trucy and you had very spontaneous dates. You'd gone rock-climbing, canoeing and a whole lot of amusement parks. Surprisingly enough, you'd never gone to a carnival together. Mr Wright had taken the young magician when she was a kid but the two didn't remember much about those times.

So when Miss Maya mentioned that an awesome carnival was going to be open to the public in a while, you absolutely had to take Trucy to a date there, at least to make some memories worth remembering. Your brunette girlfriend volunteered to pay for the expenses and as much as you'd wanted to decline, you weren't exactly in the state to do so.

Right now, you were waiting for Trucy at the entrance of the carnival. People with their families and significant others rushed in, talking non-stop about everything they needed to try out. Trucy arrived while you were invested in eyeing all the delicacies.

"Y/N! I... I have something... I have something to tell you..." She said between huffing and panting.

"Jeez, catch your breath first. Then tell me." You responded, patting her back. Trucy inhaled sharply.

"I used all my money to pay rent for the Agency..." She said, worriedly looking away.

You weren't exactly surprised. You had a feeling something not favourable would happen so you'd collected all your savings for this very occasion.

"I'm really sorry, Y/n... maybe we should come to the carnival another time."

"It doesn't matter. I got some money on me."

"Wait, really? How much?"

"Some 45 dollars. That should be enough to pay for the better stuff in here."

"And this is exactly why I love you." Trucy mused.

Chuckling, you linked arms with her and entered the fiesta of bright lights and banners.

Both of you had fun that evening. You tried most of the thrilling rides, though none of them had you screaming for life. Trucy really liked the DDR machine, in particular.

"How on earth am I supposed to do these moves so fast!?" You yelled out in frustration, seeing the character in front of you dance their heart out.

"I don't know, but I'm winning so I don't care."

"I feel like I'm going to dance myself to death, like those people from France-"

"Wait what- the French died from dancing?- Y/n, get off that machine right now!"

You'd also had a ton of fun trying out the various food.

"Trucy! Please stop trying to cover my face in whipped cream!"

"Alright, alright. Sorry, dear. These crepes are really good, by the way. Thanks for buying them." She said, with chocolate sauce in the corners of her mouth.

You still had enough for the Ferris wheel so that's where you ended your date, admiring the arrays of colourful shops and game stands.
