Meeting Dan (Danisnotonfire)

Chapter 4 - A new friendship

We both sat on the sofa, just gazing into eachother's eyes, when all of a sudden i heard the door shut. "Hey Dan!" A voice shouted from outside the room. Oh my god, that's Phil, AmazingPhil, I know it is, i know his voice! I picked up my coffee and took another sip, trying to forget about the fact that i was actually in the same room as two huge YouTube stars! Oh and the fact that i actually just kissed Dan somehow. 

Dan quickly stood up. He looked at me and said "I'll be right back, okay?". I nodded and he winked at me as he left the room. Inside, i was screaming. I quickly got my phone out and looked at the screen. 5 missed calls and 7 text messages all from Leah. I wanted to call her, and just explain everything that was happening, but i knew if i did, i would just start freaking out and Dan would think i was a complete weirdo if he overheard. I quickly sent Leah a brief text message:

"I'll be home soon, something has come up. You're never going to believe this, but i met Dan (From Youtube) and i am at his apartment! I'm fine, i promise, i will call you in a bit okay?xx"

I quickly put my phone in my pocket as Dan walked back into the room with Phil by his side. "Phil, this is Ivy, i met her at the park today." I stood up, not really knowing what to do. Before i could think Phil pulled me in for a tight hug. "I heard about what happened to you! I really hope you're feeling better now!" I was shaking, this was beyond my wildest dreams. How was this happening to me? Phil let go and i looked up into his beautiful blue eyes. "I'm fine, thank you, it's lovely to meet you!"

I looked at the clock on Dan's wall and realised the time. Shit, it was almost 10pm, i needed to get back. I hated walking about London at night time. My anxiety gets worse and i just freak out.

"Well, i really have to go, its getting late. But you have no idea how thankful i am for today, really! And i hope i can see you again soon?" I looked at Dan, giving him a cheeky smile. Why was i doing this? Oh my god i bet i looked so lame, standing there attempting to build some kind of relationship with him. 

"Yes definitely! Give me your number and i will text you mine now so you have mine, and we can meet up soon! You free tomorrow?" My face dropped. I had work tomorrow. But i desperately wanted to see Dan! What could i do? "Umm, i have work up until 6" I said, feeling upset about the fact i didn't know when i would see him again. 

"Well that's cool! I have to do some shopping in town tomorrow anyway, so i could meet you outside New Look just after 6? Maybe we could grab a drink and then come back here for a takeaway and films? If you want to that is?" I squealed slightly. My face lit up and i was quick to reply. "Yes, of course that would be great!" Dan smiled, and i smiled back. I really felt that we had a connection. 

"Well, i best be going, but i'll see you tomorrow?" "Of course!" Said Dan, coming over to me and wrapping his arms around me. His hugs were the best. I felt safe and loved and i felt like i could just stay there and hug him forever! He looked down, lifted up my chin and looked into my eyes. "Come on, i'll walk you downstairs" He said, sounding so soft and gentle. I smiled like an idiot and nodded again. I was terrible with words. "Bye Phil!" i shouted through the apartment. "Bye! See you soon i hope!" I heard him yell back. 

As myself and Dan left the apartment and entered the lift, i suddenly felt him hold on to my hand. His hands were so much bigger than mine, but he interlocked our fingers and they just fit together perfectly. I had so many thoughts going through my head at this point. Does he like me? I really like him. What should i do? Should i make a move or take it slow? Does he just want to be friends? I had no idea what i should do. I moved my thumb across his hand and he did the same back. And for that minute or so that we were in the lift. It was pure silence. We looked at eachother a couple of times and both ending up smiling like idiots! I was blushing so much, i couldn't help it. He just made me feel special. 

As we left the lift and walked out the main door, Dan turned to me and took both of my hands in his. "I've had a great day, and i can't wait to see you tomorrow." Before i could even reply, he quickly kissed me, and without thinking, i began to kiss him back moving my hands up to his shoulders. We both pulled away the same time and i smiled at him, biting my lip. I gave him a little wink and said "Tomorrow at around 6 yeah?" "Of course" He replied, and then he smiled and headed back indoors. 

Wow. I quickly rummaged in my pocket for my ipod and pulled it out and hit the shuffle button. I put in my earphones and then i heard that 'The only hope for me is you' was playing. How fitting. Not only one of my favourite songs by MCR but it fitted the situation perfectly! 

As i reached our apartment complex, i pulled out my earphones, and quickly went through the door and ran up to our apartment. I began to bang on the door and Leah answered it, looking almost excited as i was. "Right, get in, sit down and tell me everything!" She yelled. 

We both sat down on the sofa and i told her everything. How we met, what happened between us, and also that i was meeting him tomorrow. "Oh my god Ivy! I can't believe this is happening! Wow! This is crazy!" "I know!" i replied. We were both so excited, and i could tell that she was really happy for me. "Well, i've got to be up for work at 6.30, but do you want to watch some family guy before bed?" I asked. Leah nodded excitedly. 

We watched 2 episodes, and then decided it was time for bed. We said goodnight and went into our seperate rooms. I quickly got changed into my pyjamas and threw myself onto my bed. I connected my phone charger and only then did i realise that i had a text. I quickly enetered my password and looked at the message. 

"Today was great, and i really can't wait to see you tomorrow. Sweet dreams, and have a good day at work! Dan xx"

I began to smile, and tears began to form in my eyes. I was so so happy! I didn't know how this was happening to me, but i wasn't complaining! This could be the start of something really big. I took one last look at the text and then replied:

"It really was amazing meeting you today! You're so lovely and i cannot wait to get to know you even more tomorrow! See you then, sleep well. Ivy(: xx"

I placed my phone on the bedside table, turned off my lamp, and curled up in bed. So many thoughts were going through my head, but finally my brain switched off and i was fast asleep, dreaming about what tomorrow would bring..
