Dan's POV

Ivy was now 5 months pregnant, and I could not wait until March for the baby to be born. We pretty much had everything sorted now. We had bought loads of clothes, and toys and everything the baby would need. I really felt like we were going to make it as parents. But now, it was November, and it was Ivy's birthday today. I had told her that I was taking her out for a meal, but she had no idea of the surprise I had in store for her. I had picked out the most beautiful engagement ring, which I was certain she would love. Now, it was just timing it just right.

I had finished getting ready by 7pm, and I was patiently waiting for Ivy. I told her she had to proper dress up, as I was taking her to the nicest restaurant I knew. She eventually came down stairs wearing a gorgeous red dress, with some small red heels, and she looked stunning. Her bump was even bigger now, and it really made the whole thing seem real. "Do I look okay?". I just smiled and took her hands in mine. "You look absolutely gorgeous. Now, let's go, the table is booked for 7.30". She smiled and took my hand and we headed out of the door and into the car. I had finally bought my own car. I had been able to drive for so long now, but a car just wasn't necessary. But now we had a baby on the way, I thought it would be much more convenient. I made sure everything was perfect for tonight. Once we were in the car, I put in a CD and saw Ivy's face light up. I had bought her favourite album, 'Collide with the sky' by Pierce the veil, just to make sure she was completely happy tonight. I was such a hopeless romantic really.

We finally reached the restaurant and went in and found our table. Once we had sat down, we ordered our food, and patiently waited for it to arrive. "So, I think we should talk baby names." I thought it was about time we got a name sorted for the little one. "Well, I have a couple in mind, but if you don't like them, then just tell me okay?". I nodded and waited for her to share her ideas with me. "Well, if it's a boy, I like Noah, and if it's a girl, I like Darcy." Wow, I had never even thought of naming my child either of those names, but I really liked them. Different, but still lovely names. "Well, I really like both of them so that's that sorted then!". She looked both shocked but happy at the same time. "Really? Are you sure? Don't say this just to keep me happy. This is our child's future." I laughed and took her hand. "I love both them names okay? So we're sorted." We leaned across the table to give each other a tender kiss, when the waiter arrived with our food. We both sat back giggling like kids as the waiter placed the food in front of us. As we were eating I suddenly noticed Ivy drop her fork and grab her stomach like she was in pain. "Babe, are you okay? Is there something wrong?". Panic just overcame me. Ivy just laughed and shook her head. "You worry too much! I'm fine, the baby is just kicking that's all. Come here." I stood up and went to sit next to Ivy and placed my hand on her bump. It was such a magical feeling, I could feel my baby inside of her, kicking away. A huge smile spread across my face. "Wow that's incredible." We both sat there smiling for ages until I went back to my own seat and finished my meal.

Once the plates had been cleared, I realised this was the time. I felt in my pocket to make sure the ring was still there. Yep. All good. "Ivy, close your eyes." She gave me a suspicious look with a smile but didn't argue and closed her eyes. I stood up and walked over to her, taking her hands and pulling her up so she was standing right in front of me. "Okay, open." "Dan, what are you doing?". "Ivy, you're the most beautiful and amazing girl I have ever met. Words cannot express how much I love you, and I want you to be mine forever..." I crouched down on one knee and watched as tears filled Ivy's eyes, and she clasped her hands to her mouth. "Ivy, will you marry me?". I had never been so nervous, just waiting for her reply. What if she didn't want to marry me? Was I rushing things? Maybe this was a big mistake. "Dan, of course I will marry you!". I sighed a huge sigh of relief and placed the ring on her finger as I heard the people in the restaurant all begin to cheer and clap. I stood up and pulled Ivy into a hug, kissing the top of her head. This was it. I was going to marry the girl of my dreams, and we were going to be a family soon. I didn't know how life could get any better..

Really short chapter I know, sorry! But the next chapter will be up soon, and it's a good 'un ;D

Thank you all for reading, and sorry for the delay in updating,  unfortunately I lost 2 members of my family recently, so my mind has been elsewhere, but I shall be updating this ASAP, and there will be about 3 more chapters :)
