Meeting Dan (Danisnotonfire)

Chapter 11 - Lunch date

I woke up the next morning and looked at the clock. 12.30pm. Well i definitely did need that lay in after not getting to sleep until after 5am! I got out of bed and slipped my hoodie on over my pyjamas and quietly crept over to Leah's room. The door was slightly opened so i looked inside and saw that she was still asleep. I thought i would leave her to it, and went into the kitchen to find something to eat. I rummaged through the cupboards and found that we had nothing in. Leah always took care of the shopping, so i blamed her! I then realised that i needed to talk to Dan to see what time the party was starting tonight. I was also thinking that i could ask him out for lunch. That way, my hunger would be cured and i could also use this opportunity to get  a decent photo of the both of us. I pulled out my phone and gave Dan a call. He answered quickly, after 3 rings. "Hey! You alright?" "Yeah i'm good thank you! I was wondering, do you want to meet for lunch if you're not busy? Then we could discuss tonight too, as i need to know times, and what to wear and all that stuff!" He laughed before answering. "Yeah that's fine, want to meet at Nando's at about half 1?" "yeah sounds perfect! See you then!". I hung up the phone and realised that i only had 45 minutes to get ready, and get to Nando's.

I decided that a quick meeting for lunch wasn't anything to get glammed up for, regardless of the fact that Dan was my boyfriend. I still tried hard to impress him, even though he said he loved me the way i was. I put on some black leggings and my drop dead vest. I decided on wearing my grey vans and my leather jacket. I quickly put on some make up and straightened my hair before getting my bag ready. I threw in the normal things; purse, phone, ipod and then i quickly remembered to grab my camera from my drawer. Once i was all ready to go i left the apartment and ran downstairs eager to see Dan. 

I reached Nando's and saw Dan standing outside playing on his phone. I bet he was trying to beat his high score on temple run.. Bless him. I snuck up behind him before putting my arms round his waist and pulling him in tightly. "Hey, you made me jump!". He laughed and turned around grabbing my hands and pulling me in for a kiss. It was so passionate and i felt like i could just stand there for hours. We both eventually pulled away and headed inside to find a table. We sat down, and before long a waitress came over to take out orders. We already knew what we wanted so we told the waitress and she scurried back to the kitchen. 

"So what's the plan for tonight then?". Dan sipped his drink before replying; "Well, the guys are coming over about 7, and i have no idea when it will end. But you and Leah are welcome to crash at ours if you like?" I smiled and became very excited about what tonight would be like. "Yeah sounds good to me! What should i wear?!". Dan laughed and shrugged his shoulder. "I don't know, wear whatever you like! It is a party i guess, so, wear what you would normally wear to a house party." I rolled my eyes at him and laughed. He was so much help. 

As the waitress returned with the food, i seized the opportunity to get this picture taken. "Hey, sorry but i don't suppose you would mind taking a picture of me and my boyfriend for me?". Dan looked at me slightly confused but with a smile on his face, and the waitress seemed please to help. "Sure! You got a camera or anything?". I reached into my bag and handed her my camera before standing up and holding my hand out to Dan. He took my hand and i pulled him up towards me and just gazed into his beautiful eyes. I quickly snapped out of this trance i was in and made him pose for the picture with me. Dan stood behind me with his hands around my waist and i was holding onto his hands, and as the picture was about to be taken he quickly kissed me and i began to kiss him back. I feel sorry for the waitress who awkwardly had to take this picture, but she seemed nice enough. I pulled away, hitting Dan on the side of the arm and he just laughed and sat back down at his seat. "Thank you so much!". I smiled at the girl and she nodded and went back to work. "So that was really random". Dan said, so casually whilst eating his chicken burger. "Well, i wanted a picture with my boyfriend, what's wrong with that?". I kicked him under the table and he just looked at me and laughed, and we continued our meal. 

After about an hour of laughing about the most random things, we decided it was time to go. Dan had to set up everything for the party and i had to head home. I quickly remembered that i thought about dying my hair, and i wanted it to be a surprise for Dan at his party. He offered to walk me home but i just told him that i had a few bits to get in town. "Okay, well see you tonight". He pulled me in for a hug and then i tip toed up so that i could peck him on the lips. "Yeah, see you later". I winked at him before making my way to the shops. I quickly went into the small beauty shop i frequently visited in order to get some hair dye. No more boring brown hair! I grabbed some bleach,and a tub of aqua blue dye, and a deep purple colour. Once i had paid the woman the money, i headed out the shop and went home. 

As i walked towards my door, i quickly looked at my phone and realised the time was 3.30pm. I seriously needed to hurry up and get ready! I unlocked the door to see Leah frantically running about in her grey jogging bottoms, and a baggy MCR t shirt. "Hey what's wrong with you?" I laughed as she pulled on some blue converses. "Well, i had a shower and was going to start getting ready for tonight, when i realised that i haven't got Dan anything for his birthday so i quickly have to run down to the shop and find something!". I knew Dan wouldn't care that Leah didn't get him anything but before i could say anything, she was out the door. 

I began to laugh to myself before deciding that i should probably dye my hair as it would take quite a while. I went into my bedroom and plugged in my music as i mixed together the bleach. I put it all over my hair and had to leave it for 30 minutes. I decided that i would be sorting out Dan's present whilst the bleach was doing it's thing. I pulled out the massive card i had gotten him, and began to write all the typical soppy things that you would write in your boyfriends card before placing it in the huge envelope. I then wrapped his chocolate and shirt in some blue wrapping paper before sorting out the photo. Luckily, the printer that me and Leah owned was a really amazing one and could easily print off top quality photographs. Leah needed a decent printer for her work, and although i was reluctant to let her pay a lot of money for it, i was now glad that we had it. I placed the memory card into the printer and selected the picture of me and Dan and within a minute, it printed out the photo. I held it up and just smiled like an idiot. I went back to my room and put the photo in the frame before wrapping that up too. I hoped Dan would like it. 

As i headed to the bathroom to get the bleach out of my hair, Leah came bounding through the door with a bag in her hand. "I got him a card, some maltesters and a bottle of drink. Is that okay?". I smiled and nodded at her before she ran into her room to get ready. After rinsing my hair, then putting the blue dye in, then rinsing again, then adding some purple, then rinsing again, i looked at the clock. Shit it was 6.00pm. Why was dying hair such a long process?! I quickly went into my bedroom and plugged in my hair dryer, as Leah came running into my room. She was wearing a gorgeous black dress, just above the knee, with her iron fist heels and her suttle but lovely make up. "Does this look okay?"  "Yeah! You look amazing!" i smiled at her as she left my room to finish getting ready. Once my hair was dry, i quickly straightened it, back coming it slightly as always, before slipping into my black tights and my short, long sleeved batman dress. After applying my make up i realised the time was 6.45pm. I banged on Leah's door and we quickly both grabbed our presents for Dan. I quickly put on my studded heels and we left the apartment and made our way to Dan's.
