Meeting Dan (Danisnotonfire)

Chapter 7 - First Date

I opened my eyes and looked at the clock on the wall. 9:30am. I turned over and to my horror saw that Dan wasn't there. Oh no, what if he has just left, what if he realised he didn't want nothing to do with me? Oh god i wish he never saw the cuts last night. 

I quickly jumped out of bed and went to leave the bedroom. I suddenly thought that Phil might be about so i grabbed a hoodie from the back of Dan's bedroom door, put it on and made my way into the lounge. To my surprise i turned around the corner to see Dan standing in the kitchen making breakfast. I sighed and couldn't help but smile. I heard the shower running so i guessed that's where Phil was. Dan turned around and saw me standing there. "Hey you! You were meant to stay in bed. I was going to bring this to you!" I looked over the breakfast bar and saw that he had layed out a plate of pancakes and berries, a cup of coffee and some rose petals all on a tray. "Come on back to bed, you can't ruin this for me now!" he said. He laughed and i knew he was messing about so i headed back into the bedroom. "This is so nice Dan, thank you so much". He leaned over and kissed me on the head and then joined me back in bed. "You're more than welcome babe." I smiled and began to tuck in. Everything tasted so amazing, and the rose petals were such a nice touch. "Did you sleep well?" he asked, whilst pulling a t shirt over his head. "Yeah i did, was a great nights sleep. I hope you don't mind me wearing this? I just was afraid that Phil would be out there and i didn't want him seeing.. Well, you know." "It's fine, honestly. It looks good on you anyway!". 

After i had finished eating, Dan started talking about what we should do today. "Well i have some stuff to do this morning, but i was thinking maybe we could meet for dinner later or something? Maybe go to Nando's?" "Yeah that sounds like a great plan." I quickly grabbed my phone and sent Leah a text in case she was already home, telling her that i had spent the night at Dan's but would be home soon. 

"I best be heading off. Leah will be home soon and i need to get a shower and finishing sorting my mess of a room out!" I climbed out of bed and changed into my trousers. Before i had a chance to change the top and hoodie, Dan said "No, keep my top and hoodie on. They suit you." I smiled and gathered up my clothes and shoved them into my handbag. Dan came over and kissed me and gave me a huge hug. "I'll walk you home." "There's no need honestly." I insisted. "No, i want to." He grabbed my hand and we headed out of the apartment. I made sure to say goodbye to Phil first and said i would see him later. He gave me a huge hug and then me and Dan made our way back to mine. 

We strolled down the road holding hands and began to discuss what we would order that night. We could talk for ages about the most random things. I had never felt this way about a guy before. Just as we reached my apartment me and Dan said our goodbyes. "Thank you for walking me home. I would invite you in but the place is still a bit of a tip to be honest!" "Haha, it's fine honestly. I'll pick you up later at about 7 and then we'll head to Nando's?" "Sounds like a plan!" We hugged and kissed and neither of us wanted to let go. Eventually we did, and i headed upstairs as Dan headed back home. 

When i got inside the apartment, i realised Leah wasn't home yet. I threw my things in my room and went into the bathroom. I really wanted to try out my new bath bombs from Lush so i thought i may aswell run myself a bath. I went into my room, put my phone and ipod on charge and started up my laptop to warm up whilst i was getting ready. It is such an old model that it takes forever to start up. I went into the bathroom and got into the bath. The bath bomb smelt amazing. It was some kind of fruity smell and it was just divine. 

After about 25 minutes, i decided i had had enough of the bath so i put my dressing gown on and headed back to my room. To my surprise i had 3 text messages on my phone. The first one was from Leah saying she would be back around lunch time, the second was from Dan saying how he had a great night and that he couldn't wait to see me tonight and the last one was from my mum. Not going to lie, but this one made me smile the most. I hadn't seen my family in ages and it was lovely hearing from them. I text my mum back saying i would call her later on that day so we could catch up.
