There are teams that are important, as Katie narrates.

The lights flicker on after the generator powers on. Katie runs sideways as everyone else follows closely behind her. She feels a flight of sickness hit her stomach as she sees the body on the ground next to the words, "You can run but you can't hide, Dan." Mily says, "Arthur, is that?" She vomited before she could finish talking.

Arthur states, "Gilbert Oakley." Katie thinks about how Ria and Sierra are going to feel about this. Arthur rubs her back, and she turns to him and asserts, "How do I tell Ria and Sierra about this?" Mily cries, and Arthur slowly says, "Sweetheart, Sierra passed away a month ago." Katie couldn't help but have her face streaming with tears after hearing that. Sierra was always like a second mom to her, and now her best friend had not only lost a mom but a dad as well. Haylee chimes in, "Fuck, we're never going to get any sleep." Dana replies, "Good thing it's 1 a.m."

Willow sighs: "What are we even going to do?" Austin asserts, "Book a hotel." Katie states, "No, we're not running again; we're fighting back; we split and meet each other back in this exact spot; Johnny, Haylee, Dana, and Willo get new cars; mom and dad please go find us food; and Austin and Felix will go buy phones; we're calling Dan, and we're going to have a fair fight." Willow laughs and says, "Have you met our father?" Johnny backs her up with the words, "He doesn't play fair, Katie." Katie muffles, "Well, he's going to have to."

According to Katie, teamwork entails having each other's backs.

Dan's new safe spot
Dan hugs Elisa when he sits down, and he says, "Thanks for telling me their safe spot; you know, for a second I thought you were actually working with them." She smiles as she replies, "Of course not, Uncle." She then hands one of Dan's men her bags as she sits beside him, and he states, "You know your father missed out on a great kid." She couldn't help but look down, because her father was against this kind of thing. He was nice, he was sweet, and she was once like Katie trying to run away, but she knew all she had to do was accept it.

Dan signals his guys, "Go get the rest of Katie's people; I have somewhere new for them." Boy 1 asserts, "But you told us to let them go?" He slowly says, "What?" The boy states, "One of the guards said you asked us to let them go." He stands up for a few seconds before he shouts, "You fucking dumb idiots, I never said that! Get them now!" Elisa chimes in, "I can help." He replies, "No, Elisabeth, I need you to stay out of this; they trust you and think you're on their side; I need you on the inside."

(At the store)
Carlos picks up a box of crispy rice, which kind of reminds him of his breakfast in Puerto Vallarta but with fewer ingredients. He knew Ria was trying to watch her carbs to be in the best shape for the missions. Izzy looks at him and says, "Ew, who eats rice crispy?" Carlos replies, "Ria, you won't believe the amount of sugar that girl likes." Izzy articulates, "Guess zero?" Carlos nods, "Yeah." She grabs the frosty flakes, and then her face almost lights up with joy; she was starving. She states, "These are my favorites"

She turns around to see Carlos with a rose in his hand and immediately says, "Aww?" He asserts, "I know my ex-wife is going to love it." She hits his shoulder; he then stops her from moving the shopping cart and gets on his knees as he says, "Isabella Marie Max, take this rose." Izzy gently takes the rose from his hand, and as he stands up with a small smile, she replies, "Aw, of course." He locks eyes with her, and she playfully states, "I can't wait to give it to my next boyfriend." He laughs, "Fair enough," as he grabs the side of her neck, pulling her in for a kiss as his hand slightly rubs down her back.

(At the hotel)
Ria crosses her legs into a sitting position on the bed as she says, "After this next semester, I go to college." Cody lays on her lap and replies, "I'm going to be a junior." She laughs before asserting,
"Remember when you said you wanted to be a mermaid when you grew up?" Cody looks playfully offended as he states, "I was 7! I thought that was a marine biologist." Ria laughs out, "sure." Cody He sits up and turns to her as he says, "What about you, Ms.? I want to be an engineer because I watched Handy Mandy."
