Liz was very careful to watch Tris after that. She could be wrong. Maybe she just disagrees with the violence against divergents, or maybe a family member is divergent. Tris possibly being divergent was almost laughable to Liz but then she remembered that people would say the same about her.
Liz would have time to fret over her possibly being a divergent later as she currently had to fret over Tris possibly dying in a fight against Peter.
This girl cannot catch a break.
Liz watched as Peter got onto the mat and when Tris started to walk over she grabbed her elbow and said. "Remember what i said about attack? First shot right to the throat. And you watch him. He steps before he punches. Alright?" She said seriously.
Tris nodded fearfully back at her and she released her to walk onto the mat. It seemed that Four had the same idea of warning her as he was standing not too far away.
"Did i beat you do it" She asked him. "No" He denied. She smiled at his back and he internally smiled, but couldn't ruin his street cred of being scary around the other initiates.
His ego can't take it
They both took their attention to the fight when Tris and Peter got into a fighting stance. "Alright there, stiff? Look like you're about to cry. Might take it easy on you if you cry"
Liz had already warned Tris of this. Peter and his erudite tendencies would made him likely to try and psych her out before they even start fighting. He does better with his mind than his fists, even if he doesn't want to admit that.
Peter threw the first punch to her face, but Tris managed to dodge it. She made sure to watch his feet and because she was, she saw his punch coming when he stepped.
When he threw his fist forward, Tris took the opening and jabbed him in the throat. Liz was sure she looked like a proud mother.
Peter obviously getting agitated threw another punch to her face that Tris dodged and returned to his. He was twisted away from her but he quickly recovered. More angry than before.
Tris threw a punch but Peter grabbed her arm. He pulled her into him and elbowed her stomach and then her face. Tris was pushed away but before she could get far she was hit with another punch to the face.
She recovered fairly quickly and they were back to circling each other.Liz could have sworn she was only admiring Four for 2 seconds but when she looked back, she saw Tris had taken hold of peters arm and knees him in the stomach, put them Peter started throwing punch after punch to her side.
Peter lifted her and threw her across the mat and Tris landed on her stomach with Peter charging at her. Peter got a kick in to her stomach before she stood up again.
"Come on, stop playing with each other" Eric said sadistically.
Seriously? Get help Eric.
Peter got a punch to Tris face that knocked her down and had her nose bleeding. When Liz looked away from it, she watched Four walking away from the fight.
Although, when she looked back, she saw Peters foot coming down on Tris head to knock her out. And when he did, she was out cold.
Liz could only sigh and walk out of the room.

All the initiates were told by Eric that they would be going on a 'field trip' of some sort. Liz was excited for it, but her mood deflated when she found out that Tris had been cut.
Liz unable to accept this, stormed into the infirmary to see Christina and Will leaving.
"You look like shit" Liz said to Tris. She started to gather some of Tris's clothes and said "Get the fuck up"
"But they said i was cut. I'm not going" Tris said confused but still sitting up and getting dressed.
Liz only furrowed her brows and incredulously said "Of course you're coming. I am not letting you be cut because Eric is a sadistic bastard"
Tris nodded her head in thanks and threw on her jacket. The two raced out of the room sprinting as fast as they could.
They finally made it to the train to see it already leaving and Liz smiled, pushing Tris's back to make sure she was moving fast enough.
"Come on Tris. You have to make it"
The two were laughing the whole time because Liz found it exhilarating and Tris couldn't help but laugh when Liz did.
Liz grabbed Tris's hand and put it in the one that four offered to her, not noticing how it was her hand he wanted to hold but pulling Tris up anyway. Liz hopped in after them, both girls out of breathe. They probably shouldn't have laughed so much.
They started laughing again when they looked at each other but the atmosphere was ruined when Eric cut in "Who let you out?"
Liz replied "she let herself out" at the same time as Tris pointed to Liz.
She turned to Tris with a dropped jaw and said "Tris?"
"You did?" Eric said, staring straight at Tris at with raised eyebrows. After a moment of staring he just dropped it saying "Okay" and leaving. "Is he feeling alright?" Liz said after he left, confused by his lack of reaction.
Christina, Will and Tris all laughed at her before they were talking about whatever these war games they were playing were.
Liz made her way over to Four, who she had noticed was staring at the interaction. They stood shoulder to shoulder for a few minutes before Four had to leave to explain the game. He turned back to look at her before he left and saw her laughing with Christina.
God, she is beautiful.
