Zara's POV
It was amazing how Silver figured of out so quickly. It was nice that we're turning into our favorite animals though.
"So that means we can plot our escape right now." I said.
Silver nodded. "So the main key to our escape are your dragon abilities." She explained. "All dragons breathe fire so we just wait until you learn fire breathing and then we just burn everything in our way."
I nodded at Silver's strategy. All we need to do is just act like we've given up on escape until my fire breath comes in.
"But what about you?" I asked my sister. "I know that since I'll be able to fly and burn stuff but what are you gonna do to keep yourself safe?"
Silver gave me a fanged grin.
"One of the advantages that wolves have is speed. They won't be able to even come near me."
"Alright." I said. Silver and I gave each other high fives. We would be out of here in no time.
Silver's POV
I can't believe how easy everything is fitting in with our plan. Of course Professor Haze will have his doubts about our sudden change of act but we're getting rid of him first and its not like the other two humans we saw before will even try to stop us. Now we just need to figure out where we're gonna stay for when we do escape. I highly doubt that Tsuki village will ever be reconstructed and we can never trust humans again so going into another town is out. Maybe live in the forest or something?
I sat down next to Zara. One of the scientists here just brought us lunch. Same two bowls of thick green sour slop and two pieces of stale bread. Even though I had gotten used to the taste, I still hated it with a burning passion. I drank the slop first to get the taste over with. The stale bread was the only thing that tasted somewhat decent. Zara did the exact opposite of me as we ate in silence. It was a pretty peaceful meal until I felt something grow out of my... rear end.
I turned around to check my back and saw something tiny and gray swishing back and forth inside my white dress which was now a rusty brown color is some places because of the blood stains.
I pulled the white fabric away and what lied before my eyes was a silvery gray tail attached to my rear. I have to say it was pretty cool yet weird. Zara also spotted my new tail and looked kinda freaked out. The tail was kinda small but still noticeable.
"I guess you're getting a head start." said Zara.
"I guess so." I replied. It was pretty easy moving my tail around but I would have to get used to the feeling.
"Does it hurt?" Zara asked. I shook my head.
"No just feels awkward." I replied.
No one's POV
Zara continued to stare at Silver's newly acquired tail. Even though they knew what they were turning into, it was still pretty weird to suddenly see a bushy tail attached to your sister.
"Do you think it will get any bigger?" Silver asked.
"Probably." Zara replied. "It only makes sense since we're still growing up."
The new dragon hybrid the looked behind her and saw a scaly black figure.
"I guess you're getting your tail too." Silver said. "It seems longer than mine."
"This feels weird." Zara stated.
"Give it a few moments." Silver added. "I'm already used to my tail."
The two girls simply waited for about thirty seconds until Zara was used to her new tail. What they didn't know was that Silver's ears had grown furry and became pointed. Zara was the first to notice but didn't say anything about them. She was pretty sure that Silver could feel the changes of her ears.
"Where do you think we should live when we escape here?" Silver asked her sister. "I was thinking the forest but I'm not sure."
"How about the glowing cave?" Zara suggested. "You said that no one had been able to find it and we're the only ones that know where it is."
Silver thought about it for a few moments before nodding slowly.
"I guess that could work." she said. "There's plenty of room and we would only have to come out to hunt for food. It would be the perfect hiding place." Silver and Zara nodded at each other. Their play area would soon be their new home to live in.
