Zara grinned wildly as she hugged Silver tightly. They were finally out of the lab.

"So what now?" The dragon hybrid asked. Silver shrugged

"I honestly don't know. Tsuki village will be the first place that the humans will look which will eventually lead up to the discovery of the cave. I just realized that so our first plan is out." The wolf hybrid explained.

Zara stood up and pulled Silver to her feet.

"We'll find a way." She said. "I promise."

Silver nodded as the two girls began to walk hand in hand. They began to think of good hiding spots that would be suitable for living.

"We could try the forest out in the east." Silver suggested. "There are lots of hiding spots there and plenty of food."

"Sounds like a plan." Zara grinned. So the two headed to the east forest. The walk there was pretty much silent. Mostly because they were hurt and tired from the countless fights they had. Their white dresses were stained with blood and their skin bared scratches and bruises of different shapes and sizes. Not to mention their long hair was tangled from not being combed at all for such a long time.

About five hours later, with a moonless but starry sky Silver and Zara had finally entered the forest.

"Let's find a place to sleep." Zara yawned. Silver scanned the area and spotted a hollow tree that looked big enough for them to both fit.

"How about there?" The wolf hybrid suggested. "All we need to do is make it look like a bush is there."

"Yeah. Don't think that the humans are coming anytime soon." Zara said. "They probably did think that we went back to Tsuki village. Let's just sleep tonight and then make this tree a little more homy."

Silver yawned and nodded. She crawled in the hollow tree followed by Zara who used her wings as blankets. The two hybrids quickly closed their eyes letting sleep take over.

.....

The next mourning, Zara crawled out from the hollow tree and stretched. Silver was still asleep, her wolf ears twitching every once in a while.

Zara scanned the area. The forest was a bright lush green field with plenty of trees. Didn't seem like anyone was here.

Silver's eyes fluttered opened and yawned.

"Good mourning Zara." She said.

"Mourning." Zara replied. "Shall we make this tree a little more comfortable?"

Silver nodded and crawled out their so called house. It was the best they could do for right now.

.........

Zara began looking for food while Silver stayed behind and hollowed out more of the tree they slept in with her claws. She wasn't quite sure how she did it but the wolf hybrid somehow made the two lowest branches hollow as well and made rooms out of them.

Silver then found soft leaves to use as bedding and placed them in the tree.

Zara on the other hand had found animals of different kinds to eat. Although she did feel terrible about killing them but she had to do whatever it took to keep her and Silver alive. She found found deer and two rabbits.

"That should last us a few days." Zara thought as she hauled the prey back to the hollow tree.

"Find anything?" Silver asked once she returned. Zara held up the prey she caught.

"Yeah. How long do you think this will last us?" The dragon hybrid pondered.

"If we split everything up equally then I'd say maybe four to five days." The wolf hybrid replied. "If you haven't found a source of water then I hear a river from behind the tree."

"Looks like we have everything we need for now." Zara grinned. Silver nodded smiling as well.

"So what do we do to cover up the hole?" The wolf hybrid asked.

"Don't know maybe uproot a bush and replant it here?" The dragon hybrid suggested.

"Yeah I guess that could work." Silver said. She glanced at the left of the opposite side of the tree and found a fairly big bush. The wolf girl pulled the bush out with its roots still attached. Zara was already making a hole for the bush to be replanted.

Once they were done with their tree house. Zara had cooked a rabbit for the both of them with her fire breath. The rest of the prey they buried next to the tree for later.

"Do you think we'll ever be human again?" Silver asked after they ate.

"Knowing what humans actually do to others, I'd rather stay like this." Zara replied. "It already makes me sick knowing we used to be part of their kind."

"Yeah, but our mothers were never that cruel to us." Silver countered. "Maybe some humans aren't that bad."

"No. All of them are just a bunch selfish, cold hearted jerks." Zara growled. "Our moms were the only ones that loved us and now they're gone. I have learned to trust no one. Except you of course."

Silver sighed knowing that Zara was right. As far as they knew, the two hybrids lived in a world with nothing but pain and loss. They could only trust each other.

The sun was still high but Silver and Zara remained in their tree house laying down, enjoying the sounds of bird's chirping. The scientists still haven't shown up anywhere yet which made them relax a little.

Silver's mind was split in two. Deep inside she wanted to give humans a second chance. She knee for a fact that everyone in Tsuki had such kinds hearts. It has to be just some humans that are bad. Then Zara's words came to her mind.

"All of them are just a bunch of selfish cold hearted jerks."

"Alright Silver no more thinking about this." The wolf hybrid said to herself. "Trusting humans will only lead you to pain."
