Silver and Zara continued to live in the forest for ten years. They would switch jobs between hunting and cleaning out the hollow tree of dirty leaves. When Zara got too big to fit inside the tree, she simply slept on top of the branches since there was plenty of leaves to cover her.

Today it was Silver's turn to hunt, so she went to their usual hunting area. There was always plenty of animals roaming around. So many that it didn't seem that the population was diminishing. It was quite easy catching a few rabbits in the first thirty minutes.

"Don't these animals ever learn to run?" The wolf hybrid thought to herself. "We been hunting here for years now and there's still lots of prey dwelling within this area."

Silver spotted a rabbit that was surprisingly already dead. By the looks of it, the tiny ball of fur had been killed yet a moment ago.

"Well this just makes my job a whole lot easier." The wolf girl thought. She was about to reach for the dead rabbit until something cold fell over her. Silver was trapped in a metal net.

"Great the one thing I can't break through." Silver thought. She struggled and tried to bite her way through but nothing seemed to make a scratch.

Then the wolf hybrid heard maniacal laughter from the distance. A middle aged man with black hair came from hiding clutching his stomach from laughing.

"A human!" Silver growled. "What do you want from me? Let me go!"

"And why would I do that?" The man said. "A little monster like yourself is quite valuable."

Silver was slightly hurt by his words but didn't let it show by glaring at her captor. There was no way she was going to be sold like a tiny puppy at a store.

The raven haired man balled up his fist.

"Can't have you escaping so just make this easy for the both of us."

With one blow, Silver's world went black.

Zara's POV

Silver has been gone for quite a while and I've begun to worry. It usually took her about two hours to hunt and its been five hours. Assuming that the prey was just scarce, I waited for a little longer.

Finally, the sun started to set and Silver still hasn't come back. Where in the world could she be?

.....

I flew through our hunting area, making sure I left nothing unchecked. There was no sign of Silver. This was starting to freak me out. Even if she was dead, I would be able to find her body.

"Silver!" I called out. "Where are you?" My only response was silence.

"If this is a game then its not a good one." I said. "Let's go back to the tree."

Still no reply.

Terrible thoughts swirled in my head. What happened to my sister? I flew around the whole forest looking for Silver. My wings were aching, begging for a break, but I didn't stop. I needed to find her.

.........

I searched until sunrise and failed to find Silver. I knew she wouldn't leave the forest but I can't find a clue of her disappearance. Then I figured it out.

Silver was captured by humans.

Once that thought had even crossed my mind, I ran out the forest. I would've flown, but my wings were too sore from flying all night. I swear if those miserable humans hurt Silver in any sort of way, then I will give them a scorching grave.

It took a few hours to actually exit the forest. I never realized how deep into the forest I went.

I searched and searched. There was no sign of a human village anywhere. This just made my blood boil with rage.

Finally I found a small town. A closer look the humans were having a good time. Nothing special going on they were just happy. This just made me more mad. Me and Silver have been suffering for almost all our lives because of the humans and they think they can just sit back and enjoy life? Not if I have anything to say about it.

I stood up in front of the entrance of the small town. Let's see how they like it when everything is taken away from them. No, I'll do worse than that.

I casually waltzed in and almost immediately got attention from the whole town. They looked at me with fear.

"Give Silver back to me!" I commanded. "And don't play dumb! I know you humans have her!"

"Its a monster!" A woman cried.

"Somebody kill it!" A man shouted.

The whole town went into panic mode. Some of the men came with swords charging at me.

"Oh please." I said flying upwards. My wings didn't ache as much this time. "You really think you can kill me."

I blew a huge river of fire at a small group of swordsmen. Their screams didn't satisfy me at all. So I sent a fire ball at a building making it burst into flames.

The fire was easily spreading from building to building. Screams of humans flooded my ears as they tried to escape. Oh now they want to leave me alone.

I blocked the exit with a wall of flames and stood in between the frightened people and fire.

"I'm not letting you go that easily." I said. "You made me lose everything I hold near and dear so now you shall pay the price!"

Surprisingly I didn't run out of fire power. Guess all hybrid abilities are based on hatred and sure had a lot of it. What happened to the rest of the humans you ask? Let's just say I put them to rest in a nice hot grave.

Once the town fell silent I walked over to a building that hasn't been burned down yet. I suppose I can rest here. I could use some sleep right about now. Taking revenge on humans can be quite tiring. Luckily there was a bed upstairs. This reminded me of Silver's room.

I haven't slept on a bed for so long. It felt so nice. Obviously Silver wasn't here but my body ached so I wasn't physically able to search for her again.

"Silver," I sighed as I fell into the realm of sleep. "Wherever you are, I hope you're safe."
