DAY 359, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER
K: I forgot how much I hated it here. I didn't miss the manager at all.
S: Did you expect to miss them?
K: Of course not.
S: I don't enjoy being back either.
K: Good. We should go out together some time. I had fun at our makeshift party.
S: I think I had too. Not remembering most of it is a good thing, right?
K: You were pretty drunk pretty fast, not gonna lie.
S: Hmm.
K: But it's a good thing. Not remembering means you really let loose.
S: I guess so. And the beginning I remember being fun.
K: Yeah. Can I tell you something?
S: Sure.
K: You can't tell anyone.
S: Okay.
K: Okay. So. You know how R wasn't at our party?
S: Yeah. H told me they were outside together.
K: Yeah. I'm kinda glad R wasn't inside with us.
S: Oh?
K: But you can't tell anyone.
S: Why did you tell me?
K: I just needed to tell someone. Wanna know why I was happy?
S: Uhm, sure.
K: They're lame in situations like those. They don't drink. They don't dance. Like, really dance. Like how you did, you really went crazy.
S: I did?
K: Yeah! Must be why you don't remember. Gave yourself a concussion or something.
S: Maybe. Do you think you two will make up anytime soon?
K: I don't know. I tried to. I really did.
S: What did you do?
K: I gave her a gift on the train to the house.
S: That's nice. What else?
K: Well, I told her I wanted us to be friends again.
S: What did R say?
K: You ask a lot of questions. They said thanks for the gift. I don't really know what they want. Like, if they want to actually still be friends.
S: Hmm. Sounds difficult.
K: They are being difficult. It's so annoying they aren't just clear as to what they want.
S: No, I meant the situation is difficult. Sure, from your perspective R id the one being difficult. Form theirs it's you.
K: This lecture is not what I asked for.
S: Sorry.
K: Whatever. So, are we on for clubbing? How about this weekend?
S: I don't know if I can.
K: Why not?
S: I literally just had a vacation weekend, there's no way I'm allowed to have a night out the weekends after it.
K: Your parents don't like it? Why?
S: I don't know.
K: That's ridiculous. You should do whatever you want.
