DAY 343, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER
K: H, are you there?
H: Yeah. Why are you calling me?
S: I'm here too!
K: And so are T and L.
L: Hey.
T: Good evening.
H: What is happening? Did I miss something?
K: No, no. Don't worry. We actually had a question for you.
H: What kind of question?
S: We had a great idea.
K: Yeah, it's awesome.
H: Should I be afraid?
T: Not at all. I hope you say yes.
H: Say yes to what?
S: Who's asking:
L: I could-
K: Here it comes. Are you paying attention?
H: Yeah.
K: Do you want to go on a mini vacation with us?
H: Us? Who is 'us'?
S: The four of us, you and R if they want. We're calling them after we've hung up on you.
H: You called me first? I'm flattered.
L: That was my idea.
H: Thanks.
L: You're welcome.
K: So, you in?
S: It's only for a weekend.
T: It'll be great to get a break from work.
H: That sounds fun. I don't know if I have to work or not. What weekend are we talking about?
S: Not this weekend, but the one after that.
H: Let me check my calendar. One second.
K: Sure.
H: Where are we going anyway?
L: Mine and T's aunt have a second home in a town near a lake not far from here.
S: Apparently they can just go there whenever they want.
H: What luxury. I have one morning shift on that Saturday.
K: Call in sick.
H: I can't just do that. Can I?
T: You can do anything you put your mind to.
S: Or find someone to take over your shift. Another stocker.
H: L, do you have anything to do that Saturday?
L: I don't know, let me check my calendar.
K: Stop flirting. Is that a yes to the trip?
H: I don't know
S: Oh, come on. It'll be really fun.
T: Yeah. And we obviously aren't going to hang out with all six of us the entire time.
L: If it helps, there's enough beds for everyone to have their own
K: That's right! No blanket sharing.
H: That does sound good. Do I need to take care of something? Or is it 'just show up' for me?
K: Just show up. Me and T are planning the thing. You might get a bill for like a sixth of all the food.
