DAY 396, SUNDAY, OCTOBER
L: It took you long enough.
T: I know, sorry. I got lost. This building is huge.
L: It hasn't changed since the last time you visited me.
T: Apparently. Also, K should be here any minute now. They told me something came up but they'd be able to make it.
L: Alright. Everything still good?
T: The same like always.
L: That's good. It means it hasn't gotten worse.
T: Exactly. But how are you?
L: High on painkillers so I'm having the time of my life.
T: I can imagine.
L: The doctor told me yesterday I'd be in here for another week at least.
T: That sucks.
L: Yeah. But this is fine. I don't hate it, you know.
T: You don't?
L: Are you kidding me? I lay in bed all day, I have my laptop and a book, food gets brought to me whenever I'm hungry. It's great.
T: Sure, if you put it like that.
L: Plus, I don't have to leave my own comfort zone when I want to meet with people. They'll come to me.
T: Yeah. It's not like you could go anywhere with those casts, but still. S and R are coming tonight, by the way.
L: That's nice. Do you know when H is coming?
T: No, I don't. To be honest, I'm not sure if they're coming in the first place.
L: What do you mean?
T: R told me yesterday. Apparently H has reasons not to go. I'm sorry.
L: Oh. Well. If they don't want to, I can hardly force them, can I?
T: Sure. I guess. You know, you have missed something. It happened yesterday.
L: What is it?
T: R and K got into a fight.
L: Were they hurt?
T: It was verbal. They still could've been hurt, though. I haven't spoken about it to either of them since.
L: What was it about?
T: Basically how K wants to be friends with R, but R is simply over it. They don't want to be friends anymore.
L: Wow. A lifelong friendship is over just like that.
T: I know. It's insane how fast that can go.
K: L, you're alive!
L: Yeah, I am.
T: There you are.
K: Oh my- are your legs okay?
L: I'm not sure. I don't feel a thing.
K: It looks really bad.
L: It's fine.
K: Will you ever be able to walk again?
L: Sure I will.
T: They're out of the hospital in a week or so.
K: A whole week? Poor you. Aren't you bored to death?
L: No. I have my laptop, I'm fine.
K: I can't believe this happened to you. All because you called H.
