"Oh my god. Raph likes the salamander girl!" Mikey laughed, comically pointing at his older brother.

"I don't know, she's kind of..." Raph tapped his finger against his helmet sheepishly.

"Tried to kill us, idiot!" Maya yelled. Her teeth were chattering, but Jophiel couldn't tell if it was out of anger or from the cold.

Casey, not sensing the tension, burst with laughter. "PAHAHA! Are you serious, Raph?"

"Yeah she's way smarter, taller, and stronger than you."

"Exactly. What a woman..."

"I hate to interrupt the girl talk but look ahead!" Donnie pointed to the two Salamandrians. "They're heading for the irrilium."

"I do not want to get my shell handed to me again..." Mikey complained.

Well, I do! Raph thought to himself.

You're seriously pissing me off with that talk about that Salamandrian girl. Maya relayed to him.

Hey, I thought we agreed no peeking inside my head! Anyways, why do you care, Maya? Are you jealous?

It was the first time Raph was truly upset at Maya. There was the incident where they tried to kidnap her because they thought she was a spy, but they didn't know each other then. Maya felt bad for angering her friend. No, best friend. She could hear Raph mumble something to himself and leave to find the aliens, but she stayed quiet.

"I'm really sorry we can't be much help," Jophiel said minutes later. "We can't risk you guys going crazy."

"How come you aren't c-cold?" Casey shivered.

"We can't feel air and stuff. Any gases really." Raziel explained. "It's in our nature? I don't know, we didn't have school."

"But you guys won't freeze?" Iris asked.

"No, we can't."

The icy world began to rumble, and large creatures that resembled dragons erupted from the ground.

"Oh, they're cute!" Maya began to get charged by one. "But not friendly!"

Grabbed by the head was Iris. Their helmeted head was in between the jaws of one of the ice dragons.

"Iris!"

The helmet cracked and shattered beneath the pressure, but Leo decapitated the rocky creature in a swift motion.

"Are you okay, Iris?" April rushed over.

Iris began to gasp for air. They stopped suddenly. "Wait. I can breathe?"

"What?"

"The air is made of methane, how is that possible?"

"Mutant things?" Maya shrugged her shoulders. "No time to waste! We got these bad good boys on our tail!"
