Chapter 2

3rd Person

The school day at the museum is coming to an end.

The students are annoyed and bored After spending a whole day in the museum. They are all looking forward to the moment when the teacher says in front of the museum building after the visit that they can now go home.

Everyone? Yes. Everyone is really happy this time, even Peter.

It didn't take long for Peter to start feeling unwell about that spider bite. That's why he wants to go home as soon as possible while heißt still reasonably well.

After the class has said goodbye to the guide and the teacher has thanked them for the tour, the teacher stands outside in front of the students.

Teacher: Ok. So that's it for today, I hope you all learned something and I'll see you at school tomorrow at 8 a.m..

Right after he said that, all the students left without saying goodbye.

Peter immediately runs as fast as he can to the subway while sweat runs down his whole body.

Timeskip

When Peter finally arrives home, his condition has continued to deteriorate. He has a hell of a headache, he's so sich he's going to throw up any minute, his face ia pale as a ghost and the sweating has increased.

As he unlocks the door to his apartment and walks down the hallway to get straight to his room and his bed, he meets his aunt who is doing housework.

May: Ah Peter, there you are. And? How was your trip to the natural history museum? I hope you took a lot of photos.

But Peter just walks past his aunt.

Peter: I'm sorry, aunt May, I'm not feeling well, I'm going to lie down.

May: Oh, if you are not feeling well, I can give you some medicine and a-

Peter: No thanks. I'll just go lie down for a bit.

Peter closes his door, ending the conversation between him and her.May, confused, considers helping Peter, but decides against it, thinking it's probably just teenage hormones going haywire.

Peters room

In his room, Peter changes into his sleeping clothes, which consist only of shorts and a T-Shirt.

As Peter staggers onto his bed, he suddenly feels dizzy. He can no longer walk properly and simply drops from exhaustion and lands on the floor next to his bed. The bite mark on his hand has become extremely swollen and red.

Peter tries to pull himself up one last time, but is too weak and faints and remains lying on the floor.

Timeskip
Next day

Peter opens his eyes. Only to then close them again with a groan of pain.

Peter touches his head and sits up straight. He still has a slight headache but compared to yesterday he is a thousand times better.

Peter looks around the room for his glasses case. When he finds them, he takes out his glasses and puts them on. But right after putting them on, he puts them down again and closes his eyes in pain. Peter holds the glasses in his hand and looks through the glasses from a distance, only to see everything blurred through them. He removes the glasses from his eyes and strangely enough sees the world very clearly and not blurry. He puts his glasses back on and his vision is blurry. He takes them off and sees clearly. He does this several times to convince himself that he is not dreaming and indeed he can see without glasses.
