Chapter 11

3rd Person

Night

-Canalization-

The Canalization of Kouh.

A disgusting place that should not be visited by humans. Between the sewage that flows and the canal rats that live down there walks a man in metal armor. Shocker.

Shocker walks in the opposite direction that the sewage flows. At one point he turns into another corridor, one in which no more sewage flows. Since the police and this Spiderman are after him, he prefers to move underground in the canalization. That's how he's been able to remain uncovered so far.

At the end of the corridor is a ladder and he climbs it up. At the end of the ladder he lifts the manhole cover and climbs out of the Canalization.

In front of him is a big, old industrial building. He walks through a front door into the building. Inside is a big empty hall. The building has been empty since the company that used to own the building went bankrupt.

Shocker walks through the hall and walks into an office like side room at the end of the hall. There isn't much in the room. A desk against the wall with small mechanical projects standing on it. Several maps of Kuoh posted on the walls and a couch with a crumpled blanket that he uses as a bed. Welcome to his home.

Shocker takes off his mask and puts it on the table.

Shocker is a man who looks in his early thirties. He has a short stubble hair hairstyle but a shaved face. In addition to his brown eyes, he has a 2 centimeter long scar on his temple.

After his helmet, he takes off his gauntlets and puts them on his desk. He takes a soldering iron from his drawer and works on his gauntlets to improve them.

Scene Change

It's the middle of the night in Kuoh. While much of the city sleeps, Spiderman swings through the city.

Spiderman is on the hunt. Looking for Shocker. Shocker hasn't shown up since their fight a few days ago. Peter's physical condition has improved again over time. Luckily his ribs weren't broken, just bruised. After a few days the pain slowly disappeared and now he is fine again.

He lands on the roof of a building. He looks down and scans the street to see if he can find any crime or maybe some trace of Shocker. Unfortunately, he finds none of the two. So what does unfortunately mean? It's actually good that there's so little going on tonight and no one is in serious danger, but it's strange that Shocker hasn't shown up for days and it worries Peter. But unfortunately he will probably have to wait until Shocker shows up again before he can do anything.

Scene Change

As Spiderman continues to swing through town on one end of town, four people walk into a park on the other end of town. It's the Occult Research Club.

They are on Stray Devil hunt. A person who made a contract with Koneko told them that there is a Stray Devil in the park.

The four are on their way to check this out and kill the Stray Devil if they come across him. They are extremely focused and alert in case the Stray Devil ambushes.... well. All except Rias.

Rias is lost in thought and of course she's thinking about Peter again.

Rias (thoughts): What's going on with Peter the last few days? He looked like he was in pain. He always held his ribs and had a pained look on his face. Has he been beaten up again?

Akeno: Rias.

Rias (thoughts): If so, then I'll do something. I will not allow him to be hurt by anyone.
