Chapter 17

3rd Person

Issei is standing in front of the doors of the old school building. School is already over and the students are all gone. Rias told him yesterday before she left to come to the old school building after school.

He takes a breath and goes through the door into the building. At first he walks around a bit aimlessly because he has never been in the old school building and doesn't know his way around. After a while he finally makes it to the door of the club room. He knocks on the door and waits for an answer. Shortly thereafter, someone opens the door.

Kiba opens the door. As the door opens, Issei looks into the club room. Kiba is standing right by the door, in the back of the room Rias is sitting in her chair, next to her is Akeno with a closed eyes smile and on one of the two couches in the middle of the room is Koneko with a plate of sweets in her hand.

Rias: Issei, come in.

Issei does as she says and walks into the room. Kiba closes the door behind him again. The window blinds are closed and the room is lit only by candles. Issei looks to the side at Koneko.

Issei (thoughts): Woa, cute little Koneko is here too.

Issei thinks while his mind wanders to more and more kinky places about the little loli in front of him.

Koneko notices his gaze and sees his stupid face. She takes the fork that is on her small plate and throws it at Issei. The fork barely misses his face and even cuts off some hair on the side of Issei's head. The fork slams into the wall behind Issei and gets stuck in the wall. The perverted expression disappears from his face and is replaced by a nervous one as Koneko makes it clear that he should stop staring at her.

Rias: Calm down, Koneko. He is my new servant. Please don't hurt him.

Koneko: If he stares at me like that again, the next fork will go in his eye.

Koneko said while staring at him with a monotone face but evil eyes.

Rias gets up from her chair, walks in front of her table and sits on the edge of the table.

Rias: I'm glad you're here Issei-kun. Welcome to the Occult Research Club.

As Rias finishes her sentence, two bat-like wings suddenly spread out from the backs of Rias, Akeno, Koneko and Kiba.

Rias: And welcome to your first day as a devil.

Timeskip

That was an... interesting day for Issei, to say the least. After introducing him to the Occult Research Club, Rias explained some of the history of the supernatural beings to which he is now a part of. She said that there was a war between the so-called three great factions. The devils, the angels and the fallen angels. This war was so devastating that by the end of the war all factions were extremely weak because they all lost large parts of their population. To compensate, the devils have developed a system with which they can turn humans into devils and thus replenish their population. The Evil Piece System. This system was only intended for high class devils. High class devils can make humans and other species their servents with the Evil Pieces, which look like the pieces of a chess game.

After explaining all this to him, she talked about his Sacred Gear. Issei was supposed to try to summon it but couldn't. So they still don't know what his Sacred Gear is. Rias then tried to encourage him because he's disappointed, within himself, that he couldn't activate it. However, Rias tried to assure him that he will certainly activate it soon. After that, Issei had to go home because his parents told him in the morning that they wanted to have a family home evening and he promised to be home early.
