Chapter 14

It had been a couple days since the hot tub incident, Steve and I didn't talk about it and I had barely seen him since he had been working with Tony a lot. I had really wanted to talk to Steve about it seemed like it made it so we weren't alone anymore, almost like he didn't trust himself....or me....or both of us together. I was sitting in the kitchen one morning eating some yogurt for breakfast and Steve came walking in with Tony.
"Morning Cupid." Tony said and I smiled.

"Morning tinman." I said. He smiled at me and looked at Steve. Steve was looking at me and I smiling.

"Morning Steve." I said and he walked over and gave me a small kiss.

"Good morning Love. You sleep well?" Steve asked and I nodded.

"Yeah...I guess." I said and Steve smiled. He walked over to the fridge and got a Yogurt out and sat across from me at the table.

"Steve, will you be back in the lab later?" Tony asked and I sighed.

"No, I think I'm going to ask Freya to spend the day with me." Steve asked and I smiled and shook my head in amazement.

"Oh you are? When will you be doing that?" I asked and he smiled and winked at me.

"Soon." Steve said and I nodded. I took a spoonful of yogurt and then took the spoon out of my mouth slowly, I did this a few times as Steve watched me intently making eye contact with me. I then licked the spoon fully cleaned and I heard him growl from across the table.

"Okay well whenever you want to ask Freya to spend the day with you she will be in her room reading." I said and Steve nodded as I got up to leave. I past Bucky and Nat as they walked in the in process.

"Good morning you two." I said and kept walking.

"Steve..." Bucky said seeing Steve's face in a hard line.

"That girl is going to be the death of me, I swear to god." Steve said pushing away from the table and headed to his room to get ready for the day.

I was sitting on my bed, leaning on the headboard reading when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." I said not putting my book down. I saw the door open and then looked over to see Steve.

"Hey." I said and he smiled.

"Hey." He said and he joined me on my bed. I put the book down and instantly cuddled with him when he lifted up his arm for me to do so.

"I have missed you the past couple of days." I said looked up at him from where my head was on his chest.

"I know, Tony needed me and ...after the whole hot tub situation...." Steve said and I shook my head.

"Don't Steve, we were both part of this and we're both responsible. Listen, right now I'm under the mind set if it happens it happens. I know I said I wanted to wait but I don't think we are going to be able to wait that long Steve." I said and he nodded.

"But I want it to happen naturally if at all possible not because we know. I want it to be natural." Steve said and I nodded.

"I agree." I said and Steve smiled. He leaned down and passionately kissed me. Steve hovered over me as we continued to make out. After a few minute Steve broke up apart.

"Okay, we need to leave the bedroom and maybe work off some of this tension." Steve said and I nodded.

"Okay, what do you suggest we do Captain?" I asked and he laughed as we sat up.

"Meet me outside on the track in 15 minutes. We are running." Steve said and I nodded. I did love exercising.

"Okay, be there soon." I said and he gave me another kiss and left. I went to my dresser and grabbed a sports navy blue sports bra and some leggings that matched, it came as a set. I put my hair up in a messy ponytail and took off some of my make up. I went to the kitchen and grabbed 2 bottles of water for Steve and I and then headed outside to the track. I saw Steve standing there is grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt. He saw me and dropped his head.

"Fraisy...." Steve said and I looked shocked.

"What?" I asked handing him his water.

"You know I am trying to be good but you can't come out here wearing that." Steve said and I sighed.

"Steve it's the only workout gear I got. It was either this or nothing...." I said and Steve tried hiding his laugh and shook his head.

"Nat tell you it was the only kind?" Steve asked and I shook my head.

"No, it's what I liked." I said and Steve walked closer to me and he placed his hands on my sides where I had bare skin and there was that burning touch again.

"Just be nice to me Fraisy...my will is wearing thin." Steve said and I nodded.

"I know, I'm sorry." I said and gave Steve a small kiss. I then pushed out of his grip and went running.

"Come on Captain! Are we running or not?!" I yelled back to him and he laughed and ran to catch up with me. I could tell he was trying to not show how fast he could go and was keeping pace with me.

"Break loose Steve, run." I said and he laughed and took off and I was in shock. I just went into my own little world and started running soon Steve was coming up behind me.

"On your left." He said and passed me. I shook my head. After another couple of minute here he came again.

"On your left."

"I got it!" I yelled after him and I heard him laugh. After a few more laps and a few more 'On Your Lefts' Steve and I were done running. I laid in the grass. Steve came over and laid over me hovering.

"Come on! Not fair!" I said annoyed seeing Steve without a shirt on.

"What? It was hot and I was sweaty." Steve said and I groaned seeing his muscles and then tried to ignore them because I knew what he was doing.

"By the way, you were being a showoff." I said and he laughed.

"You okay there Fraisy?" Steve asked.

"No, my feet and legs hurt from trying to keep up with you, you damn super solider." I said and he laughed and leaned down kissing the tip of my nose.

"Come on I will give you a foot and leg massage." Steve said and I moaned as he grabbed my hands and pulled me up. He then lifted me, spun me and put me on his back piggyback style.

"There, now you don't have to walk." Steve said and I smiled as we headed back into the compound. I put my arms around his neck and rested my hands on his chest and he smiled back at me. I leaned down and kissed his neck.

"Thank you so spending time with me today." I said as we walked inside.

"I'm sorry I was preoccupied the past couple of days. That will never happen again." Steve said as I smiled.
