It didn't take them long to reach to their location, Wei Wuxian knew this was it. Wen chao was speaking to him but Wei wuxian didn't hear, not because he didn't care. Because a certain person was on his mind, Lan Zhan. He wondered how he's doing now, he hate to admit it but he did miss being around him. He got no choice but to fix things now or never.

All of the sudden he was pushed down, which caught him off guard, he didn't scream nor panicked. As for he knew this will happen....

On the other hand the clans were getting things ready to prepare their attack soon. Lan Wangji cannot help but worry for Wei Wuxian, he hates to admit it but he enjoyed Wei wuxian's presence. He hated the feeling of not knowing where he is now. But he can't worry about it now, he has to help the elders.

'This second chance was given to me and I will not fail' he said in his head before landing on his feet. (Yes Wei wuxian took the yin sword, not to create but to destroy it when he has the other pieces) he had to ignore the voices calling out for him, he listened to one particular voice...

"Wei Ying"

"Wei ying.."

He turned around to where the voice was coming from, he knew who it was. He took a deep breath and followed the trail where Lan Zhans voice was coming from. Perhaps it will lead the way out, he remembers in the future life where the exit should be at. Eventually he got out, with the help of knowledge from his future self.

He took care of his wounds before heading off. Where you may ask? Of course to go ahead and take care of Wen chaos men and the captured clans that was under the wens control. Instead of doing how his future self did, he decided to finish them off by cutting their neck. Why? Because he just wanted to and doing all the other things his future self did was too much work for him.

He was one step ahead of the others (Lan zhan, Jiang cheng, etc) He knew Lan zhan and Jiang cheng would be together on a particular occasion. He didn't dare to interfere. He didn't want to show himself yet, but he feels bad for making Jiang cheng worry. He feels bad about making the other worry but this is what he has to fix. After all of this..he just wants to rest..for a while

<<Time skip, to Wei wuxian, Lan Zhan, and Jiang cheng>>

The three cannot utter a word out, Wei wuxian was confused on to why they arrived earlier than he thought they would. Wen chao was in the corner shivering. Hiding. From who? Wei wuxian of course..

<<Flash back to Wei wuxian and wen chao>>

"Do you think you can kill me that easily wen chao?" He whispered to wen chaos ears and grinned, "Y-you evil men! H-how can a person like you even exist!" This angered Wei wuxian, especially the future self Wei wuxian.

"Hah! Me? Evil? You wens has done nothing but bring suffering to everyone! I'm just doing them a favor. You're lucky I didn't immediately kill you." He grabbed wen chaos throat harshly and threw him onto the floor and kicking him.

"Why are you so afraid?" He grinned, during the past days Wei wuxian has been giving illusions of his future self to Wen chao, which fucked up wen chaos mind and mental health. "Ah, are you perhaps scared of... Me?.."

When wen chao looked up his eyes widen and he started shaking. There stood in front of him was no other than future self Wei wuxian. "Wen chao..how pathetic you are." He brought his flute near his mouth which caused wen chao to scream and back away. "S-s-stay away from me you evil! Get away! Please! Have mercy!" He was begging but wei wuxian did not care about his countless of begging. He was annoyed, "Shut up! When others begged for mercy did you show them any?! Do you know how many life's you've taken?! How many family you tore away because of your pathetic actions?! Did you spare anyones life?! You put so many people in pain! Why should I show mercy to you?"

Wen chao knew Wei wuxian was correct but he still begged for mercy, he was on the verge of crying. Just as soon as wei wuxian was about to blow his flute, Lan wangji and Jiang cheng barged in. Which caused the illusion to go away but wen chao was still shivering in the corner.

<<End of flash back>>

Again..no one spoke until wei wuxian to decided to break the uncomfortable silence.

"How's everyone?" He smiled a little before seeing Jiang cheng tear up. Which caused his smile to fade, did something happen? Did- did he fail? To protect them..?
