"Hey Nova," Elias said, raising one of his gloved hands in a wave, as he rounded the corner into the dorm room common space the following morning. Because it was a Saturday, it was rather crowded. I'm sure he counted on this.
"Have you lost your fucking mind?" I yelled at him in Swedish. He had no reaction to this. He just continued over to where I was sitting, scanning the room.
"Hey Midoriya," he said, waving at him. He turned and nodded. "None of my business."
"Hey Claeson!" Midoriya said excitedly.
"Tch."
"For fuck's sake," I said into my hand.
"Is that Elias?" Momo whispered at me harshly. "I knew it!"
He made some great show of greeting Momo, spewing off some bullshit politeness about how it was so great to see her again, and congratulations for getting into UA, he remembered how much it had meant to her, and by the way, she looked great. She got through it graciously, albeit obviously surprised, and he skillfully cut the conversation short before she could ask what he was doing here, introducing himself and collecting names from the rest of the table like the lethally pleasant Heir he was.
"I tried to call you," he said to me after the pleasantries had finished.
"I know. I was ignoring you." I was lying. I hadn't looked at that phone since I'd turned it on silent. I naively thought he'd leave me be until I contacted him. "You can't be in here."
He reached into one of his pockets, and his hand came out with some type of card that said UA on it between two fingers. "Says who?"
"Where did you get that?" I asked, snatching it out of his hand. He let me. Visitors Pass. I turned it over and I recognized the signature on the back.
"The office," he told me. "Listen, I have an interesting idea."
"No, you don't."
"Let's spend the day together," he told me. "Catch up."
"No," I told him immediately. "I don't want to."
"You may change your mind when you hear what I have in mind."
I sighed. I'm no idiot. This was nothing but a losing game. "Entertain me."
"Anything you want," he told me in Swedish. Unexpected. Though, admittedly, tempting.
I got to my feet and peered at him. I may as well weigh my options. It was the least I could do. He'd travelled all this way, after all. "Anything?"
"Anything," he said, releasing a sigh that was inaudible to anyone but me. His eyes filled with dread, and it filled me with joy.
"I'm in," I told him.
"Shall we?" He asked in English.
I looked down at my pyjama shorts and tank top that I hadn't bothered changing out of. There was no fucking way I could leave him and go get changed and taking him up to my room so I could keep an eye on him wasn't an option either. He smiled at me, and I smiled back.
"Yes. I'm ready."
"Cass!" Mina squealed as we made our way towards the door. I would have just ignored her, but of course, Elias' hunger for information, especially about things that interested him, which had always included me, made him both vicious and friendly to a fault.
"Are these friends of yours as well?" Elias asked, motioning to them, already walking over.
I had been trying to avoid linking our arms, so I wasn't even able to stop him. He made his way over to Mina and her group, and kindly introduced himself, even taking the considerate action of repeating everyone else's names and asking if his pronunciation was correct. He paused when he came to Bakugo, and nodded at him before he said anything.
