Kiri followed me all the way back to the dorm building, matching my speed the entire time. When we entered into the common space, our other classmates from the meeting, as well as Bakugo and Todoroki, were occupying one of the seating areas. They must have gotten the rest of the day off from their respective agencies after the briefing. Bakugo and Midoriya were on their feet as soon as we rounded the corner.

"Miss Stronghold," Midoriya started, his eyes wide.

"What the fuck happened?" Bakugo demanded loudly over him, his voice solid but his red eyes very uncertain. He'd clearly been filled in.

I didn't have a chance to answer, because in the split second I took to glance at Kiri, I noticed he was looking down into his phone with an odd look, and then answered it. "Hey, man."

"Put that stupid fucking cunt on right now!" I heard Demon yell. And it was not because of my keen hearing. Kiri's eyes went wide. Demon must have been waiting outside the gates for Elias, and I could only assume he didn't enjoy the version of him who'd walked back out of them. I couldn't really blame him.

"What the fuck did he just call you?" Bakugo yelled back across the room. I rolled my eyes and snatched the phone out of Kiri's hand, which let me with no effort.

"Demon, shut the fuck up," I said into the phone. I had little interest in this game right now and time was of the essence. "Just take him home. I'm on my way. Also, why the fuck do you two have Kiri's phone number?"

"I'm going to rip your fucking," his response started, just as loud and hostile. I rolled my eyes and hung up, shoving the phone back into Kiri's hand, which hadn't moved.

I lifted my eyes to Bakugo, hoping my expression was subsiding some of his anger. It was not, but I didn't have time to entertain that right now. "Family emergency. I have to go."

"We're going with you," he said back to me, solidly, motioning to Kiri. He just nodded beside me, still oddly quiet.

"Fine, whatever," I said, rushing by him to get to the elevators.

"Us too," Midoriya said, adding his own heroic nod as Todoroki stood next to him.

"Sure," I said on the back of a sigh. "Let's get moving."

"Stronghold," Uraraka started, her nervous eyes finding me. I wasn't certain what she was going to say, but I stopped walking so I could hold a hand out to her. Absolutely not. No girls allowed.

"You two stay here," Todoroki told her and Tsuyu. Momo must have filled him in to some degree, which I was grateful for. Demon didn't get along particularly well most people, but interactions with girls were particularly difficult for him. "In case we need anything."

The four that decided they were joining me followed me up to my room in a symphony of rapid footsteps and nervous speculation. I swallowed over and over the entire way, refusing to let myself puke, hating every ounce of what I was about to do. I unlocked and opened my door, letting the five of us trickle into it.

"This is your room?" Midoriya asked, as if the words had fallen out of his mouth. He looked around, wide eyed. I didn't focus much on the sentiment. I was surprised he hadn't tacked on a Miss Stronghold.

"I fucking hate it in here," Bakugo said, almost under his breath. Kiri let out a small exhale of agreement. I guess I got my answer to a question I hadn't had the chance to ask.

I ignored them and went over to the closet, pulling the stranger's larger PCS monogrammed suitcase out of my closet. I knew that's the one that would have what I needed. My hands trembled as I lay it flat on the floor, but I forced myself to continue. This wasn't about me. It couldn't be about me right now. I unzipped it as quickly as I could, but when I told my hands to open it, they didn't. Instead, they set themselves down flat on the bag and my breathing became more frantic.
