Mina still had a vice grip on my arm, and regardless of how little experience or comfort I had in being one of the girls, I still wasn't sure where I stood with Katsuki after the whole bleeding thing, so I didn't fight it when she pulled me down onto one of the couches beside her. Sure, he thought I was beautiful, but he didn't come marching over to where I was either, so I dropped the pompoms at my feet and decided it was for the best.

Our co-ed class hangout went on for a little while until the people started to get tired and the group started to thin. Because I didn't have the calming warmth pressed up against me, I was wide awake and on high alert. That, and I refused to sleep or lower my guard any amount so long as Demon and Elias were around.

There was a sudden gust of wind as the door swung open. With all the uninvited showing up those two fucking losers had been doing lately, it shot something fearful and automatic right through me. However, they were here, cuddled into each other, Elias playing cards for both of them, Demon's long fingers running absentmindedly over his partner's arm, which by the way, gross, so I let myself relax. By the time I heard the sharp, pompous inhale coming from the hallway, my eyes had widened, and by the time the figure turned the corner and presented themselves to the common space, I was ecstatic.

"Neito!" I screamed, shaking Mina off and on my feet before anyone else had even fully registered his presence.

"Hello, Class A for Amateur," he pompously greeted us. I heard the groans and the winces, but I didn't care. My feet were flying me across the room and I jumped at him, wrapping my arms around his neck. God, I missed him. "Oh? And how's my favourite little two-timing ex friend with benefits?"

Oh, right. Shit.

Admittedly, I'd forgotten about all that. In my mind, Neito was nothing more than my friend, someone dickish and cocky enough to keep up with my banter and someone who could make me laugh harder than almost anyone else. But everyone else in the room simply knew him as the person I was sleeping with before Kaminari's dorm party.

Yeah, this probably looked really bad.

But I didn't care. I'd smooth things over later. Between work studies, all this stupid Elias and Demon drama, and our fake breakup, I guess, I hadn't really gotten the chance to see him in what felt like years. I could hear him hugging me back, and that's all that mattered to me.

"Hey Bakugo," he called out over my shoulder. "Still enjoying my sloppy seconds, or has she dropped you too?"

"What the fuck did you just say?" I heard Katsuki yell back, lifting to his feet.

"Watch it," I whispered in Neito's ear, tightening my grip on him until he winced. "I still have dirt on you, you know."

I released the hug and held my palms out towards Katsuki, who was stomping on over, a sparking hand already held out. I suddenly wondered how much I'd really be able to defend anyone if I had to take him on. I shook the thought out of my head, hoping that I wouldn't ever have to find out. Elias and Demon were also on their feet, both of them flush with curiosity over this exchange, and were sauntering over as well. I found some solace in the undisputed fact that if I had to defend myself against either of those two, it would be child's play.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head a bit, as if this was all ridiculous. "Chill out. He's just bitter because I upgraded."

Katsuki stopped walking, seemingly somewhat satisfied with that.

"Uh huh," Neito said doubtfully behind me, but he didn't push it. "Anyways, I just came by to inform the lot of you that Class B,"

"For Bitches!" Sero called out, inciting a round of snickers.
