"Hey, man you alright? You look red." Eddie with concern, "Yeah, I'm okay. Um, I will b-be right back." Steve stuttered while walking to the back and into the bathroom. "Steve, what is wrong with you? Why are you like this?" He asked himself.
"Hey, Robin do you know what is up with him?" He asked politely, "No, I have no idea. He is never like that. Well, unless he is into a girl." Robin confessed to Eddie while being oblivious.
Eddie stopped in thought back to when they were in The Upside Down woods. That night replayed in his head ever so often. That night was when he was advising Steve about Nancy but, he didn't want to. He felt as if his heart had been trampled on by thousands of bulls. All those moments they shared...Eddie never forgot.
Eddie thought to himself. I suppose he never took that advice about Nancy. Eddie acted as if he wasn't happy things didn't go in that direction.
Yet, he still felt guilty and he was unsure why. Probably cause Eddie knew that Steve wasn't gay. That is what burned his mind the most. He has feelings for him, but something never felt right when he was kind of flirting with Steve. Steve knew they were and are best friends, nothing more.
Yet, Eddie felt differently.
"Hey, dingus you alright?" Robin questioned with concern, "Yeah, I'm alright. Just-nevermind." Steve confessed while looking away from Eddie. "Alright...well Eddie whatcha looking for? Something scary, realistic, or both?" Robin asked with boredom in her voice. "Nah, I am gonna get going. I already watched all of these movies, but thanks."
Eddie revealed while walking backward with finger guns. That is his Eddie's way of saying bye. Steve found it adorable in a way.
A few hours later
"Finally, this dreadful day is over," Robin said to Steve with a cheerful attitude while getting the keys to lock the door. The jingling of the keys was a trigger for Steve. He had no clue why, but to think about it. It's always been a trigger. Even before the chaos went down.
He tries to think what memory it was. Yet, he was at a loss.
"Yeah, I know right. Do you want to go to the pizza place downtown?" Steve offered, "Sure, why not? Oh, and thank goodness we are off tomorrow. Now we can hang out with the kids and Eddie." She said with a grin that showed her pearly white teeth.
Steve forgot that they were off tomorrow. "Oh, that's right. I guess that slipped my mind." He said while walking to the BNW.
"You alright? You've been acting weird all day ever since Eddie came into the store." Robin asked with sincere concern, "Yeah, I guess. I mean I never had a good sleep ever since everything that happened in the last 4 years. But, otherwise. I'm good. And Eddie has nothing to do with it. No need to bring him up."
He confessed with pain in his eyes and nervousness in his voice while holding the wheel. "Dude, why didn't you ever tell me, and sorry for bringing up Eddie. Geez." Robin asked and apologized.
"It doesn't matter, I'll be alright." Steve lied to Robin and Robin knew it.
"Steve. You know you can talk to me." Robin comforted him while putting her hand on his shoulder, "Yeah, I know. Rob don't worry about me. Okay, I am okay." Steve told her with a lie glued to him.
Robin wanted to help him, but she doesn't know-how. Steve has always been a stubborn dingus.
When he said he was fine that meant he wasn't.
The next day Robin got everyone together to surprise Steve with a hangout at the arcade. You know to try and make him feel better.
Robin does tend to go a little overboard but, she means well.
