21-Pain ~ Steddie

"I love you guys."

Steve voice rang into everyones' heads. Like an endless echo.

Max came to an immediate stop and they all asked if they heard that.

"Wait, does that mean Steve has powers, or are we all just going crazy?" Will replied with fear rising, "I-i don't know...and if Nancy and the rest of them heard it too...they are probably confused?" Robin questioned without getting an answer.

"Wait. Maybe Blake didn't disconnect us from all of the phones. We are so close to Cali, we just have to warn everyone." Max gave a thought.

Max stepped on the gas and it felt like they were gliding on ice considering how fast Max was driving.

Meanwhile, that's happening...Eddie is running into a dark forest.

He's in so much pain. Mentally and physically.

Eddie winces in pain and looks down at his leg, a shard of glass was in his leg.

He went inside an abandoned barn of some kind and just sat down against a wall.

Eddie was trying to be tough, but he needed a way to get Steve back. At this point, he is unsure if he's dead or alive.

The last words Steve said to him kept replaying in his head.

Tears start rolling down Eddies' face.

He didn't know what to do. He was in pain, he didn't know how to get to Robins' house, and would they even be there?

Eddie won't run this time. He promised Steve he wouldn't change. Yet, he had to break that promise. So, he grabbed the shard from his leg, then wrapped his bandana around his leg.

He stood up while holding back tears.

"I need to find a phone." Eddie roughly mumbled to himself.

He left the barn and walked.

Nothing but, woods.

He was lost.

There was blood running down his leg...so much...he felt like he was gonna pass out but, he caught himself and kept walking.

"There!! A payphone!!" Dustin yelled.

Max didn't even come to a complete stop and Robin opened the door and sprinted to it.

She dialed Nancys' number so quickly, that her hands were shaking.

"Hello?" Nancy replied.

"Nance! Oh my goodness, thank goodness!! Look w-we have a code red!! I and the kids are at a payphone and a few miles away from Cali!!" Robin stuttered every word cause of how scared she was.

"Wait, does this mean you guys heard Steves' voice? If you did then we aren't crazy." Nancy questioned.

"Y-yes we all did! We don't know if Eddie and Steve are alive!! It's kind of a long story." Robin quickly answered with fear coursing through her veins.

"Okay, Robin calm down. Everything is going to be okay. Robin. You and the kids hurry up and get here, so we can form a plan and you can explain everything. We will be at Elevens' house okay?" Nancy instructed while reassuring Robin.

"Okay, we will hurry over! See you soon Nance." Robin announced, she was gasping for air...she was having many panic attacks at once...she wouldn't be this bad if Steve were there.

She missed him. She didn't know where or what happened to him...as much as she hated most of the dinguses' qualities, he has some good ones Robin liked.

They all rushed back into the car, this time Robin drove.

At this point, she was faster than Max.
