24-Broken ~ Steddie

Once Owens heard it was an emergency, he got to the house in about 5 minutes.

They are all about to return to Hawkins, but they don't know what they are walking into.

Meanwhile, that was happening...Eddie was driving toward the red cloud. He didn't stop to make a plan, he was running in blind.

When he was about to get into the house he escaped from, he overheard above him...

"Helicopters?" Eddie questioned.

He panicked and ran back in the car, but when it landed in the field behind the house and saw through the window of the car. It was Dustin and all of them.

He got out of the car and limped to Dustin.

"Eddie?" Dustin was concerned at the sight of him.

"I'm so glad you guys are here, I don't know what happened...and it's a lot to explain in a short about of time." Eddie gasped for a breath.

"Do you know what happened to Steve?" Dustin asked, wondering if Eddie knew.

Eddie looked over at Dustin and was hoping he wasn't dead.

"What...what are you talking about?" Eddie worried.

*crack*

Lightning stroke down onto the car Eddie stole and it blew up.

"If we want to do this, we better do it now!" Hopper directed, he handed everyone a gun even the kids.

Eddie refused to have a gun on him. Frankly, he was confused about why they had guns in the first place. They know guns can't stop someone like Blake.

Eddie didn't know what happened to Steve...he didn't know if he was alive or dead. He tried not to cry in front of them. It wasn't the time.

They entered the house and split up into groups.

Dustin, Erica, Eddie, and Robin went together.

Joyce and Hopper went together.

Nancy, Jonathan, Will, Mike, and El went together.

And finally, Max and Lucas were together.

They were searching for them.

Then an echoing voice appears in their heads.

"I'm glad you all made it. It's so sad you guys teamed up just to die." Steve announced with no remorse.

"Steve?" Eddies' eyes were painfully holding back tears.

He didn't know this happened to Steve.

Eddie remembers the window he jumped from and he walks to it, goes up the stairs, and sees Steve sitting on a throne and Blake by his side.

The rest follow behind Eddie.

Steve gets up, looks at all of them, and evilly grins.

"Steve, what happened to you?" Eddie wondered, he started walking toward him slowly.

"Don't come any closer Munson, you'll regret it." Steves' voice broke silently.

"Eddie, what are you doing?" Erica whispered in fear.

No one has ever seen Steve like this, it was scaring them all.

But, Eddie didn't care he kept walking toward Steve.

"If you want to stop me, you're gonna have to kill me." Eddie looked into Steves' eyes...he saw his pain leak from them.

Steve couldn't hurt any of them even if he wanted to.

"Please, come back this isn't you. Please..." Eddie pleaded, he tried to grab Steves' face but, Steve grabbed his arm and gently put it down.

Eddie knew Steve was still there.

*BOOM*

A gunshot went off...Steve fell to the ground.

"No, no, no. WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Eddie yelled in agony.

Hopper looked at who he shot. He thought he shot Blake but, he thought wrong.

Dustin ran over to Steve and held up his head.

"Don't leave me, man, I told you if you died I die." Dustin cried with so much pain.

They all were standing over him in shock.

Eddie was pissed, Robin was shocked, and Dustin was dead inside.

"Don't worry Munson, I'll come back," Steve whispered while grabbing onto Eddies' leather jacket.

They didn't know what he meant by that, but he started healing himself and Blake fell with a gunshot to the stomach.

It's like he transferred his pain onto Blake.

All of them were in shock and Eddie held Steve close to him.

"How the hell are you okay?!" He questioned with curiosity and joy.

Steve smiled a genuine smile and replied, "Uh, I don't know, but I have a really bad headache." Steve announced, his smile brightening everything up.

They all laughed.

2 weeks later

Joyce, Hopper, and the kids moved back to Hawkins.

For 2 weeks nothing bad happened and they were all relieved. Yet, all of them felt as if this quiet won't last long.

Steve was in Eddies' trailer once again, but it felt as if his burdens and pain washed away. Steve knows that some part of him did die.

Cause he isn't fully there most days.

Eddie was sitting on the bed playing with Steves' hair and listening to music.

Steve then grabbed Eddies' hand and stood up from the bed.

"Hey, Munson...what if I'm broken?"

"What do you mean?" Eddie tilted his head in confusion.

"I don't know, just ever since I somehow transferred my pain onto Blake I feel off," Steve admitted.

"What kind of off? You aren't gonna turn evil on me are you?" Eddie questioned, his hands fidgeting with his rings.

"Pfft, no. I just walk into this trailer and the bad memories I've seen here...it seems as if my pain of it washed away. It's like some of me did die that night." Steve honestly remarked.

Eddie looked at him and felt bad but, there isn't much he can do.

So, Eddie cupped Steves' face and said, "You aren't broken, okay. You might seem on edge since all of the shit you've been through, but you're strong. Plus, you're such a weirdo."

They both laughed and Steve kissed Eddie a passionate kiss. It felt as if it lasted forever but, in reality, it lasted like a minute.

They wanted to be like this forever, but they knew they couldn't. There would be a time when all of their moments will become a painful memory.

Don't worry, I'm going to continue this fanfic but, it's them being happy and Steddie angst <33

By the way, I have nothing against Hopper I just thought his character would be like that.
