no one noticed.
____________This year you were attending Aoba Johsai High School, a private school in the Miyagi Prefecture. The Miyagi Prefecture was located in the Tōhoku region of Honshu, with a population of around 2,000,000. There are lofty mountains on the west and along the northeast coast, but the central plain around Sendai is fairly considerable.
From what you gathered about Seijoh Blue Castle; the school is known to excel in the sports department, with the boys' volleyball team that ranks in the top four of the prefecture. For years, the team has constantly been in the Interhigh and Spring High finals, only losing to Shiratorizawa.
You knew Shiratorizawa well - you actually went there for Junior High due to an academic scholarship. After some thought before selecting which high school you wanted to go to; you choose the infamous Aoba Johsai due to the convenience and also your brother, Hajime.
Hajime and you weren't particularly ever close - when growing up, you two were complete opposites. It made your relationship even more strained when you went to different schools after elementary. Both of you guys were never home, due to his volleyball practices and you heading to the library to review. Your schedules would never align up. You two would sometimes go up to days not seeing each other, and sometimes a month of not even speaking to each other.
If someone would ever view Hajime's and your text messages together, they would most likely assume you guys were coworkers. The texts were brief, straight to the reason behind the message. The messages would often be followed by a short simple, "okay". Acknowledging that one of you would be late coming home, or dinner was ready.
It made you upset. You didn't want to go your whole life never having a sibling bond with your own brother. You would find yourself getting envious when someone brought up something sweet their brother did for them, knowing you had never experienced that. Hajime wasn't mean, but he never had a reason to go out of his way for you. After some thought as well, you probably wouldn't go out of your way for him either.
This year was going to be different; you were tired of this strain in your relationship.
Sometimes your thoughts would drift to your future with your decision. You most likely would be risking your success in the future. You couldn't even recall a single successful person that went to Seijoh. You were willing to suffer the consequences though, but you could always switch back to Shiratorizawa next year.
Most people were astonished when they found out Hajime and you were siblings. Even though you guys were sporting the same last name, your looks were very different. Hajime looked exactly like your father. All the way down to the dark, spiked-up hair, and delicate eyebrows. Their olive green eyes were down to the exact hue also. You, on the other hand, took after your beautiful mother. You were told by many people that you guys could look like twins if you tried.
Your personalities were the contrary as well, while you were more shy and reserved, Hajime was stubborn and intimidating. Even down to your studies were different, Hajime was average but cared a ton about sports and anything physical. From what you remembered, he was always set on improving himself physically, while you were set on improving yourself mentally. Your grades were exceptionally high, which helped you earn your scholarship.
Now that your brain was already on the train of thoughts; you realized that neither of you have ever met each other's friends. That thought kind of surprised you, but a lot of thoughts were surprising you. You never went to any of his volleyball games growing up either due to school. You didn't know if he cared or not if you showed up, but it still made you sad.
You guys really lived totally different lives.

Days flew by quicker than you expected; nearing the date of your first day of school. It was on your calendar in a red marker with a circle encircling the actual date. Supriselying you weren't anxious about it - you didn't think it properly hit you yet. Your mind had been filled with what you were going to do to get Hajime and you closer these past days.
