one look and your mine. keep your eyes on me
______________Sadly, you didn't find anybody that lived near you throughout the whole day. Not like you asked anybody, you just went out of your way to listen to everybody's conversations throughout your class time.
Your teacher decided that since it was the second day of school; you were prepared for some homework. It wasn't like you didn't expect homework to happen during the first week of school; you were put in the smartest class of your year.
Kannie said she couldn't come after school with you to the practice when you asked her to come. She seemed very upset about it, as her mother was forcing her to babysit her younger siblings.
When your class was packing up, you pulled out your phone. You didn't want to show up to the practice without someone there. As suggested by Kannie, you asked the group chat if anybody wanted to come.
Misato was the first to reply, she said she couldn't due to her piano lessons. A few seconds later, Mizuki started to complain about how badly she wanted to come, but the bus she took home didn't come back until hours after the practice. Nashira said she would try to drop by after her club meeting, but she can't make any promises.
It made you kind of upset. The thought of going to the gym and sitting there alone really made you nervous. You could just walk home, even after what Hajime said.
Kannie gave you a wave goodbye before she walked out of the classroom. You were currently standing in the classroom, alone.
Your phone gives out a notification noise, and you quickly open it to see a message from Haru. She said she was willing to go with you, and to meet her in class 1-2.
Haru and you spoke very briefly when you first met her. She seemed very interested in you, which made you uncomfortable. Also, she seemed to have seen you in the car with Hajime and his friends. If you had to put a stereotype to her, she would be the group's leader.
You were nervous walking towards her classroom, your hands were sweaty, and your bag felt heavier than before.
Sliding open the classroom's door, you were met with a few kids still in the room. Haru, of course, was one of them. She was on her phone, with her pink bag placed on her desk.
Her black hair was curled into a wavy pattern, and her wispy bangs sat perfectly on her forehead. Her dark eyes were glued to her pink phone, as she typed away.
"Haru." You called from the doorway, she lifted her head while her other classmates looked as well. She gave you a small smile surprisingly, as she grabbed her stuff.
Hopefully, this practice won't be too bad.
_____________
Haru and you walked down the school's hallways. She was leading the way, as she knew which gym building the boy's volleyball players practiced in.
You two did small talk; which you didn't expect anything more. Even though you two were in the same friend group, you weren't close. It wasn't like you personally ever see yourself becoming close with her, so you didn't mind it.
The gym was a large beige colored building, similar to the other gyms. It had white bricks molding it together, with five large windows on the second floor. The first floor had smaller windows, but had small lights on each side.
Inside was huge. There were multiple courts throughout the whole space. The ceiling was basically a whole window, making you see the gray sky above. It was similar to the lunch room.
