You woke up in a black void, you stood up to see Idh'yaa towering over you. You jumped, your eyes wide in terror. "Where am I?" you asked.

"Your subconscious mind, unfortunately, this is where I have been stuck for the thirty-five years that have been your short, miserable life." Idh'yaa boomed.

"...harsh."

"It is the truth." the two of you stared at each other for a moment before you finally said.

"How long will it take? The-The pregnancy?"

"Two weeks."
"What?! M-My body can't take that I-I'll die!"
"That is the plan, yes. But do not worry, Cthulu and I have created a paradise for the two of you to spend eternity together after the unification, as thanks."
"...Why would you do that?"
"Do you want me to take it back?" they snapped "You should be thankful, your deaths will be far quicker than the other mortals, and none of them are going to this paradise. " they sneered.

"...thank you," you grumbled.

"You're welcome. The unification is tomorrow-"

"Tomorrow?!" you exclaimed.

"Yes. Now wake up." they snapped.

You gasped as you shot up, you turned to look at Otto, who was already sitting up, his red tentacles moved around him. He had a vacant look in his eyes, you hesitantly tapped him on the shoulder, his head turned to look at you, and you saw tear stains on his cheeks. "I don't want to hurt you," he whispered.

"We... we don't have a choice." Otto laughed bitterly, you raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"I-It's just that I... I had fancied you for the longest time-"
You turned red "You had? You never met me!"
"I've read your books, the news clippings... You were living the dream I always wanted, a life of adventure. I was just too scared to well... adventure. So when you walked into my lab I... I was star-struck, I really was." he admitted. "I-I don't know why but I expected this to be like the adventure novels I read, not-not this." he gestured to your eyes, his tentacles, and just the room in general.

"They usually are like the novels... Although the novels do tend to dramatize everything," you admitted. "...I'm going to die in two weeks, giving birth to this... this demon monster baby god that will end the world."
"I'm not going to-AUGH!" one of Otto's tentacles slashed him across the chest, leaving a long scar... It wasn't bleeding but you could tell that it was agonizing, you took his hand, and he squeezed it tightly as he gasped out in pain.

"He's going to do it! He's going to do it! I-I'll make him just stop! Stop please!" You begged. Otto relaxed immediately, he stared at you in shock.

"...what are you doing?"

"This." you pulled him into a kiss, his eyes widened in surprise before he gave in and kissed you back, heat rose from your stomach to your chest, his lips were chapped, but still soft. You felt your heart beat loudly in your chest as he pulled you closer, your bodies pressed up against one another, you let out a sigh, your lips parted and his tongue slipped inside, you let him explore you, you would let him do anything to you as long as he kept holding you close. He had been there for you, he cared about you and you were going to spend the rest of eternity with him, you had to kiss him. To make sure that it would work, and you were sure of it.

You two were made for each other, even if you wouldn't be alive, you would still be together.
