The crowd chattered as the two of you stood up, you glared at them.

"Ok! Ok we fucking did it! What? What? Does this get you all off, huh?" you snapped, flipping them all off.

A couple of monsters nodded, Otto retched.

"The unification ceremony is complete-" the leader stepped towards the two of you, you glared at him, your eyes trailed down to see a knife strapped to a belt, you lunged forward and grabbed it, he cried out as you ran to stab him, eyes wild.

"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!"
"Aim for the heart dear," Otto advised.

"I like that name-" you started.

"Please! Please Idh'yaa, I have been your loyal servant for my whole life-" the leader begged, holding your arms away from his heart, you glared at him, couldn't he just die?

"You've fulfilled your purpose... We do not need you anymore." Idh'yaa replied, the leader's eyes widened in shock, which gave you enough time to stab him through the heart, you hated him, you hated Idh'yaa you hated Cthulu you hated everyone here... except Otto. You-You didn't want this, you were terrified how could you do this? You felt Otto's hands drag you off of him.

"He's dead, he's dead," he muttered.

"Would you like to kill them all while you're at it?" Cthulu asked.

"...Can I?" you asked.

"Leave a handful for the child to snack on," Idh'yaa added.

You looked at Otto, expecting him to tell you that this wasn't going to solve anything, he didn't say anything. "If you're up for it."

"You've changed," you noted.

"I might have... But I'm mostly furious, at you!" he pointed to the tentacles, "At you! I'm referring to Idh'yaa." he pointed at you.

"I figured, continue."

"At you!" he pointed to the leaders lifeless corpse "And ALLLL of you! I don't get angry, I really, really don't but I was wanting a romantic adventure story with this AMAZING woman and I end up HURTING her, doing this SICK ritual, and being possessed by A GOD THAT TAUNTS ME AND WANTS ME DEAD!" he snapped.

"Flip them off." you urged.

He flipped them all off, you smiled triumphantly at that, wiping the blade off on the leader's clothes.

"Now, who's next-" you stopped mid-sentence, your face contorted as you felt a sharp pain in your stomach, you let out a panicked shriek... It was starting. Otto rushed to you, he looked at the knife and wrestled it out of your hands, you started to argue before he swung the butt of the knife down onto his forehead, and passed out. You groaned as you crumpled into a ball on the floor... It was happening.

"Oh great, it's you," Cthulu grumbled.

"Yes, it's me... How long have you been with me?" Otto asked, looking down.

"Why are you asking me this now?"

"I want to know."
His many eyes narrowed "Since you were born... Pathetic thing."

"Have you always been dormant?"

"You ask too many questions."
"I'm not leaving without an answer."

"Yes, I have. My presence puts a strain on your weak, mortal body." Cthulu sneered.

"I can't see her in pain."
"That's too bad."
"Is there anything I can do to stop this?" Otto pleaded.

"Stop what?"
"This... This madness! What else did you think I was talking about!"

"Watch your tone," Cthulu growled. "I cannot stop it, but I can prolong the inevitable if..."
"If what?" he asked, desperate.

"If you can survive my gaze."
"I've done it before-"
"No, the entire time."
"Y-You need me-"

"No, I don't. You've done your job."

"Then why are you still keeping me alive?"
"Your pain amuses me."

"That's it?"
"What, do you think it was your personality?" Cthulu scoffed.

Otto frowned "...How long will I have with her?"
"Two years, until the cosmic eclipse-"
"I've never heard of a cosmic eclipse-"
"You've never heard of a drowned moon either, but look where we are. Honestly your struggle, it's pointless. You are simply prolonging the inevitable-"
"I am prolonging the-the pain I caused her!" he snapped.

"You're being a coward-"
"I am not a coward." Otto snarled, he was getting sick of this.

"Prove it." Cthulu challenged.

Otto looked up into his eyes, and he screamed.

You panted out in pain, it-it shouldn't be happening this quickly you thought that you would have more time.

"AAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Otto screamed, and you groaned as you crawled towards him, what was Cthulu doing to him?
"Idh'yaa... What is-is happening?" you wheezed as you took a breath... You couldn't be this weak.

"Cthulu is toying with him... Gave him false hope. The fool thought that he could bargain with us." Idh'yaa cackled.

Tears welled in your eyes, he was still trying to save you... He hadn't given up. But you had, and you hated yourself for it.

"I don't understand why the two of you fight us, we are giving you the best option-"

"A demon... baby... that isn't... mine is EATING ME FROM THE INSIDE OUT HOW IS THIS THE BEST OPTION!" you yelled, you managed to wrap your arms around Otto, who was still screaming out in pain. You grabbed the knife and held it over your neck.

"You're not getting off that easily." Idh'yaa snarled the knife flew out of your hand, tears ran down your face, you felt a stabbing sensation in your stomach and you keeled over again.

"Of course, this is your greatest fear, I don't know why I am surprised," Cthulu grumbled as he stared into Otto's eyes.

Otto screamed when he saw you, but unlike your nightmare, you weren't dead. You were... you were getting eaten alive by some, some writhing mass of wet flesh and limbs, it looked up at him, it didn't have a face, only a wide, gaping mouth and as far as he could tell, they were lined with needle-sharp teeth, you cried out in pain as it went back to its meal, Otto couldn't stop screaming, even when he heard the wet tear of flesh, he tried to run to you, to beat that cursed thing to a pulp, but he couldn't move, he just had to watch you get eaten alive helplessly. Tears streamed down your face, you held up an arm, it was shaking.

"H-Help..." you croaked, the creature ripped off that arm and you howled, it gnawed on it happily. He-He couldn't take it.

"Let me go to her!" He pleaded.

"Are you sure?" Cthulu asked, you screamed louder.

"Yes! Yes I-I have to save her!"
"Do you give up?"
Otto glared at the god.

Cthulu looked down at your body, maggots started to emerge from your wounds, you screamed at the sight of them, a putrid smell filled Otto's nose, he grit his teeth, but your sobs were louder than his will to continue.

"I GIVE UP! Just-Just make it stop." he pleaded.

Cthulu laughed, Otto's blood ran cold.

"You lasted longer than I expected... There was no cosmic eclipse."

"Then why the hell did you OFFER IT TO ME?!" Otto snapped.

"Because I could." Cthulu hesitated before continuing "I will let you live... But your vision..." he laughed.

"It's coming true."
