"Hey Baby," North whispered as Gabe opened the door and she came out of the bathroom.

"Grumpy," She pouted. He got up off the hospital bed and took a few steps toward her. She flinched and he froze. "Sorry," She sniffled as tears came down her face.

"It's okay, Baby," he nodded. She walked over to him and he remained still until she wrapped her arms around him. He gently hugged her as she clutched his shirt under his vest.

"Are you okay?" She asked and he looked at the group confused. They shook their heads in confusion.

"I'm fine," he said, "Why do you ask?"

"You killed him," She explained. "You killed someone. I know you are a scary biker group but you're so nice to me and you just killed someone."

Most of the group chuckled, North included. "He hurt you Baby. I have no remorse whatsoever and it's not on my conscious, I promise. I would do it a million times over if it meant preventing you from getting hurt again. I'm just sorry we didn't get to you sooner."

She sighed and moved her head to hear his heartbeat better, "He's done it too many times for me to count, it's nothing new to me."

"It'll never happen again," Owen said clearing his throat.

"You can't promise that," She slightly shook her head. "You can't promise something you have no control over, Diablo. You don't know what will happen in the future."

"I can promise that as long as you are with us, nothing bad will happen," he said and she nodded.

"Come on, let's go home," Sean said and she nodded.

"Gunner!" She gasped in surprise as he picked her up from behind and held her bridal style.

"Sorry Kitten," he shrugged but she saw the smirk on his lips. "Tiny."

"You say that all the time," she murmured as he carried her down the hall.

"True," he said calmly while glaring at some nurses that were staring. Once they got outside she shivered, both from the pitch darkness and the sudden temperature drop.

"It's going to storm soon," Fang said looking up at the sky.

She pouted and tightened her grip around Raven's neck. "Kitten no like storms?"

"I like listening to it but I don't like seeing it," She whispered.

"No see storm," He nodded as he gently put her in Sean's car then buckled her up.

Sean started driving and she looked out the window. "What is it, Pookie?" Sean asked.

"Aren't they cold?" She asked and he shook his head.

"They will be fine," He explained. "They are wearing hoodies and the thick leather vests, they are fine. It's only until we get home, I promise they are okay."

"Okay," She whispered. She watched for a little bit, "Do they always surround you when you drive your car?" she asked nervously.

"Yes," Sean nodded, "It's not just me, it's anyone that drives. If we all can't go then at least one of us does, we never go anywhere alone."

"But what about when you work at the hospital?" She asked confused.

"Someone goes with me then leaves once I get there and then comes back when I leave," he explained.

"Why do you always have someone with you?" She asked. "What if you just want to go somewhere alone? How does that work? You have to want some alone time sometime, don't you?"

He shook his head, "We don't like being alone," he sighed, "but I guess if we ever did we would just let the rest know and they would accept it and just ask that we check in every once in a while."

"Oh," she whispered. "I don't feel good, Doc."

"Like how?" he asked concerned as he turned on his blinker and started to pull over. He jumped out and rushed over to her side and opened the door. She leaned against him and once she got out of the car she started throwing up. "That's it, let it all out."

"I'm sorry," She cried then threw up again. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be," he said as Gabe held her hair out of the way. He looked over at Kota, "get in my bag and get her a Zofran tablet." Once she was done Kota handed her a water bottle and she took a sip then spit it out and took another drink. "Take this Pookie. Leave it on your tongue until it dissolves."

She nodded as he helped her back into the car. "I'm sorry, Doc."

"Don't be," he shook his head as he buckled her back up. "Keep your eyes closed so the motion doesn't bother you anymore. Try not to worry about anything for tonight, just try."

"I hurt," She whimpered, "It hurts Doc."

"I know," He nodded as he crouched down in front of her. "Once I get you home, Coffee and Ninja will make you something light to eat and then I can give you some pain medication."

"Coffee's chicken soup?" She asked and Marc chuckled.

"You got it Beautiful, now close your eyes and let's get home."
