Chapter 16

Luke unlocked the door and Kota put in the code to turn off the alarm. "She's asleep on the couch," Luke whispered.

"Looks like she was writing something," Victor whispered as he gently pulled it out of her hand.

"Do not read it," Kota shook his head. "We already messed up going through her stuff, she will never forgive us if we read her personal thoughts."

"True," Victor whispered as he closed it with the pen still inside.

"I got her," Axel whispered as he scooped her up and started carrying her to her bed. She whimpered and flinched but as soon as her head laid against his chest and she inhaled his cologne she calmed down. He gently laid her in bed and covered her up. "Sweet dreams, Doll," he whispered kissed her head before leaving the room.

Eve woke up and looked around confused. How did she end up in her room? The last thing she remembered was being on the couch writing. She gasped when she saw her notebook on her nightstand. She got out of bed and walked into the living room.

"Moring Babe," Gears said as he left the kitchen with a cup of coffee in his hand. "Sleep well?"

"You're here," She murmured.

"Yeah?" he asked confused.

"Fang moved me," She said looking at the group.

"Yes I did," he nodded, "I didn't want you falling off the couch and hurting yourself."

"We didn't read your notebook," Victor said, "I just closed it and put it on your nightstand because I didn't know where it belonged."

"You didn't?" she asked suspiciously.

"No," he shook his head. "It wouldn't have been right."

"Thank you," she sighed in relief. "I appreciate it."

"Breakfast is ready," Marc said from the kitchen.

She glanced at the clock and gasped, "Shit, I'm late!" She raced back to her room and quickly changed. She grabbed her bag and keys and headed for the door.

"You need to eat," North called out.

"I'll eat later, Grumpy, I'm late!" she called out as she raced out the door and got in her car. She opened her shop and immediately started getting to work on the orders that she had.

A few minutes later Grumpy stormed in, "eat," he said opening the bag. He pulled out a breakfast burrito and opened it then held it out. "Eat, Baby."

She looked at him like he was crazy but the sternness in his eyes made her sigh then take a bite. After she swallowed he held up her tumbler. She drank from the straw then pulled away. "Can I go back to work now, please?" She asked. "The person will be here to pick this up in ten minutes and I'm not near done finishing it."

"Fine," He sighed, "but you're going to finish eating once you are done."

"I can't right now," she shook her head. "I have three more orders to make for pick ups today."

"Take a bite," North demanded holding the burrito back up. She rolled her eyes, took a bite then walked off to get what she needed. Once she was done swallowing he held it back up. She huffed but the look in his eyes made her stop her attitude and just give in to the fact he was going to feed her as she worked. He spotted the smallest of smirks on her lips when she finally gave in to what he wanted but kept it to himself as he continued to care for his Baby Girl.

"Hey we got that meet—" Gears said as he walked into the shop but froze seeing North feeding their girl as she worked on the arrangement she was currently making. "Wrap it up, we got somewhere to be. Sorry, Babe, he can finish spoiling you later."

She chuckled and shook her head, "Take him, now!" she pointed to the door, "I've been trying to tell him I can eat later but he won't listen."

"It's only because he knows you will forget if you keep putting it off," Gears chuckled.

"Promise you will finish as soon as you can," Grumpy demanded and she sighed.

"Yes Daddy, I will be a good girl and finish eating as soon as I have the free time," she said sarcastically.

"Little Girl," He groaned as he forced himself to take a step back and shake his head. "I swear you..."

"I what?" She asked innocently. "I'm doing what you said? I promise I will eat when I can."

"Nothing Baby," he sighed as he kissed the top of her head. "Be back later."

"Ride safe," she called to them and they nodded.

"Always," they said at the same time. "We have you to come home to now."
