"Come on Pookie, time to open your eyes and quit scaring everyone," Doc's voice filtered through the darkness as she slowly woke up.
"Doc?" She croaked as she opened her eyes then quickly shut them against the brightness.
"Okay, Little Fairy, you can open your eyes now," Doc whispered as he put two fingers on her wrist.
"Doc?" she asked hoarsely in confusion as her eyes laid on his green ones that held concern.
"Hey, there you are," he smiled gently as some of the concern was replaced with relief. "How are you feeling, Pookie?"
"Hurt," she whispered.
"Okay, I'll get you some medicine in just a second," he nodded as she looked around and realized that she was in the hospital. "Doc?"
"Yes, Pookie?" he asked as he wrote something down on the chart then sat it down to focus on her.
"What happened?"
"You don't remember?" he asked, and she shook her head then stopped since it hurt. "Do you remember your name?"
"Eve," she whispered. "Eve..." she trailed off as she thought, "Eve Blackbourne?"
Sean smiled, "do you remember my name?"
"Doc?" She asked nervously.
He chuckled, "Yes, but my full name?"
She thought for a minute then asked, "Dr. Sean...Sean Green and we're married but I don't have your name because there's more of us."
"That's right, can you remember the rest of our family?"
"Family...family..." she bit her lip and a few tears slid down her face. "Doc..."
"Do you think it will help to see them?" Sean asked as he wiped her tears. She smiled weakly and he kissed her forehead. "I'll go get them, they didn't want to overwhelm you, so they are waiting outside. I'll be right back, Pookie." She sniffled and watched as he left the room then entered his office.
"Doc," North whispered standing the moment Sean walked in.
"She's awake," Sean nodded then held up his hand.
"Doc?" Kota asked nervously.
"She's showing some signs of amnesia," he blurted out.
"She doesn't remember us?" North asked shocked.
"I don't know for sure," he admitted.
"What the fuck does that mean, Doc?" Gabe asked confused.
"She doesn't remember what happened, but she remembers her name is Eve Blackbourne and she's married to me and others but when I asked her if she could remember our family she looked confused. I'm thinking if she sees us our names will come to her."
"She doesn't call us by our names, Doc," Silas pointed out.
"Which is why I want to see what she remembers," Sean nodded. "And I want it to be one at a time."
"Okay," they nodded as they followed him to her room. "Hey Pookie, I got your medicine and you have some visitors."
"Our family?" she asked hopefully and he nodded. "Will I remember?"
"I don't know," he said honestly. "But it's okay if you don't, I promise. I told them to come in one at a time so you don't stress. Just take your time and I'll stay by your side."
"Prez," she smiled in relief as Owen walked in and came by her side.
"Hi Darling," he gave her a soft smile and she beamed.
She smiled inhaling his Irish Spring scent as he hugged her. He kissed the top of her head then moved to the side so someone else could come in. Much to everyone's happiness and relief she remembered each of them and a lot of her worry was gone by the time she was done hugging everyone.
"What happened, Doc?" She asked as she winced while Gabe gently ran a brush through her hair and touched a huge bump. "Owww."
"Sorry, Little Flower Fairy," Gabe frowned as he sat the brush down and started using his fingers. "Doc?"
"What is the last thing you remember, Eve?" Sean asked as he sat at the foot of her bed.
She frowned as she tried to remember. "Talking to North Star in back of the shop...he called Bear because...because..." she trailed off while frowning, "something and I asked him to come home and we watched Care Bears and...and I was making shopping list because Valentines," She gasped, "Did I miss Valentines Day? What day is it?"
"It's in three days, you haven't missed it," Sean said reassuringly.
"Oh, thank goodness," she sighed in relief then looked at him worried, "I'm forgetting some stuff, aren't I, Doc?"
"Yes, you are," he nodded.
"Do you remember anything before us, Baby?" North asked gently. She tilted her head as she thought then barely shook her head. "That's okay," he said rubbing soothing circles on the top of her head.
"Do you want to know?" Victor asked. "It's okay if you don't."
"Why do I have a bump on my head?" she asked. "Why am I in the hospital?"
"Your ex brother in law got mad when you refused to go with him," Owen said cleaning his glasses. "He tried to shoot you but Grumpy knocked you out of the way. When you fell you hit your head on a rock and passed out."
"Are you okay?" she asked looking at North scared.
"I'm fine, Baby," he chuckled, "he had horrible aim, I'm perfectly fine, not even a scratch. I'm sorry you got hurt though."
"You saved me," she smiled softly then frowned, "I have an ex brother in law?"
"Nyet," Raven shook his head. "I kill him."
"Really?" she asked shocked and he nodded. "You're not in trouble?"
"No," Owen shook his head. "He was protecting you so it's fine."
"Good," she sighed in relief. "So I was married before?" Owen nodded, "Divorced?"
"Widowed," North admitted.
"Oh," she trailed off. "I don't think I want to know more."
"That's okay," Sean smiled softly.
"Will I ever remember?"
"I don't know," Sean admitted. "Only time will tell."
"I don't remember our wedding," she frowned.
"We didn't have one," Silas chuckled. "You said you didn't want one. We are getting things ready to have a binding ceremony."
"Oh," she whispered as she leaned into Gabe's chest some more. "I'm glad I didn't forget that then."
"Us too, Little Flower Fairy," Gabe chuckled as he watched her relax under his hold.
