"Morning," She yawned as she sat at the table.
"Did you not sleep well Pookie?" Sean asked as she rubbed her eyes.
"Not really," She shook her head and pouted. "The storm kept me up and down all night."
"Why don't you head back to bed when you are done eating, Darling?" Owen said after he took a drink of his tea. "You can sleep some more."
"Why didn't you just come get in bed with a few of us, Baby?" North asked. "You know we wouldn't have minded."
She shook her head, "I didn't want to disturb you since I knew you had a late night getting that lost shipment of whatever and you would work today. It's fine," She covered her yawn, "it's nothing a few energy drinks won't fix. Besides I need to figure out my budget and then head down to the nursery to get some new plants. I'll just go to bed early tonight, I'm fine." She looked around then frowned, "Where's Knuckles?"
"Out running a few errands for us," Axel said as he placed her plate of French toast in front of her.
"Great, I already have a few plants waiting for pick up if he doesn't mind going ahead and picking them up for me. I can swing by and pay for them and pick up the others I decide I want after breakfast. If he's too busy that's fine, I can handle everything."
"He won't mind, I promise," Kota said as he pulled out his phone. He sent a quick text then went back to eating. A few minutes later his phone pinged and he chuckled. "He said he is offended you would even think it would be a problem for him to stop by and pick up flowers for your garden."
She rolled her eyes and shook her head but they saw a small smile on her face. "So is it safe to say that won't be our pretty little bartender today, Cupcake?" Luke asked and she shook her head.
"Sorry, not today, I need to get all the bulbs in the ground and tackle any weeds that are in the back and try to figure out the horrible numbers of my budget and expenses and—"
"I'll come handle your numbers, Ten," Kota chuckled. "I bet they aren't as horrible as you think they are. You know numbers are my thing."
"Thank you, Einstein," She got up and hugged him tightly. "Now I won't have a headache tonight."
He chuckled and pulled her into his lap. "Finish eating, Little Fairy."
"I'm not little," She pouted, "It's not my fault all of you are giants."
They chuckled then finished eating. She headed back upstairs to get ready for the day. She came back downstairs in shorts, and the biker's shirt they gave her with her hair up in a ponytail. She had to admit it was her new favorite shirt.
"Sexy," Luke smiled when he spotted her.
"You're ridiculous," She chuckled as he spun her.
"Only for you, Cupcake," he admitted making her roll her eyes.
"Sorry but Grumpy already gave me a ring," She giggled as she fixed the black rose ring since it shifted.
"What if the ring came from all of us and we just share you?" Luke asked. He knew he was treading on thin ice at the moment.
"Hmmm," She shifted her weight to one leg and tapped her finger on her jaw. "A polyamorous relationship, now there is a thought." She hugged him. "Sorry but I won't be shared by just anyone. This little fairy has a possessive jealous streak when it comes to her things and the people that have her heart. Now I will see you later, I have work to do. Bye Boys," She waved as she grabbed her keys and headed out the door.
"Damn," Gabe chuckled as he adjusted himself then headed to his room to grab his things.
A few hours later she got up from where she was planting some new flowers in the front of the shop when she saw the sheriff pull up to her store. "Hey Sheriff, what can I do for you?"
"Hi Mrs. Lawson—"
"It's Miss Gibson now," She corrected.
"I apologize," He nodded, "I need to ask the guys a few questions. Are they next door?"
"Yeah," She nodded.
"What's going on over here?" Owen asked as the group of men came over.
"He wants to ask you some questions about something," Eve shrugged.
"About?" Brandon asked.
"Something happened last night. A few men were found murdered, rival bike group."
"Okay?" She asked confused. "What does that have to do with the guys?"
"I need to know where they were yesterday."
"With me," she said confidently.
"You okay Knuckles?" the sheriff asked noticing him hold his stomach. "You're bleeding."
"Pulled open some stitches," He admitted.
"What happened?"
"They have been helping me renovate my shop so I could start working again," She said waving her hand to the shop. "He was playing around instead of paying attention and fell into my display case cutting himself but Doc fixed him up. You are more than welcome to come inside and see all the new look."
"No, that's fine," he shook his head. He turned to the group, "be careful, I don't want trouble starting."
"We will," Owen said nodding. "Thanks for the heads up."
The sheriff left and they turned to look at her. She shook her head, "I don't want to know," She held up her hands. "Go get fixed up Knuckles, I've got things to do."
She walked back inside her shop and they looked at one another, Axel whispered, "She covered for us."
