"The guys are fighting for my what?" April asked in bewilderment. She had been in an out of the city for the past few weeks and heard gossip from Ray and Autumn that Ramee and Uchi were arguing about who's 'baby girl' April was. She had heard bits of yelling during her nightly phone calls with Taco and Randy but assumed it was the boys being their usual selves."It's just the boys being dumbasses as usual sweetheart don't think too hard about it." K said over the phone.
"Alright... so you want me to invite people and be a ring girl for this event?" April confirmed the details of what was expected of her with Chang, who April had taken to calling Mommy K.
Apparently she had to be a ring girl with another girl named Carmella and keep the crowd entertained. April enjoyed the idea of a public fight for her affection. It would help with her brand as the most sought after sugar baby in the city and help with securing future sugar daddies. The men in this city were easy to fool and she knew that she just had to test their egos for her to get paid.
She knew both Uchi and Ramee were looking out for her business and it was all an act to keep all the pot stirring gossips abuzz. She stared at her notepad filled with names and state id's of all the people who were willing to pay her bills and knew that she would have to do some networking during the event to add more fools who were hoping that she'd choose them to be official with.
April informed her new assistant Lucas to book her an appointment at Bob Mulet so that she could get a new haircut for the event as well as promote Bobby Brown's business on her vlog.
She briefly considered finding a stylist who would help her choose outfits. The woman had no sense of style and would sit in shorts and oversized hoodies all day if she could. Her current image did not allow for her to wear unfashionable garments. She knew that if she officially joined CG she would be expected to play the role of a dumb bimbo celebrity in order to go under the police's radar and her wardrobe played a large role in giving that illusion.
April knew that a lot of people thought she was vapid because of her lack of employment and need for serious conversations. She knew many people underestimated her because of her bubbly nature and positive temperament. Nobody knew that she was an educated doctor or could have guessed that she had skills beyond her voice. As a child, the redheads parents were adamant on making her take several extra mural activities such as karate, ballet and gymnastics. Skills that she still used for self defense.
She did not want to share any of this information because she enjoyed playing the role of a damsel. April loved the power that came with knowing the secrets of the city (which was partially why she disliked Mickey S. The man knew many secrets that he would often try to sell for a hefty price.) Many people in Los Santos thought she could not keep a secret but she had learnt over time to over share the insignificant things that would make people assume she was incapable of knowing bigger secrets.
April stood in Ramee's gallery office in red shorts and a comfortable sweater. After spending almost an hour at a traffic stop with an insufferable cop she was already excited for the day to end. As a way to pass time in the dark office she called her good friend Yuno. The young hacker reminded her of herself in many ways. April had realized that getting revenge on him was fruitless because of what he meant to the people in the city. He was always kind to the people he interacted with and everyone loved him. He also happened to be Ray's twin brother, allegedly. April did not fully believe that was the case but didn't want to rain on her friend's parade. She knew they could have easily been fraternal twins but she had a feeling she couldn't shake off about their bond. She kept it to herself in case she was wrong.
Instead of getting revenge on Yuno she decided to use him. The young boy was far to naive to realize that not everyone had his best interest at heart. It wasn't like he was going to die from her plan. Besides April had already chosen to be the villain of her own story. What was the point of being good if you were going to be poor. She had tried to be a good person and a good wife once in her life. All she got in return was her family shunning her and her husband cheating on her.
