The large windows welcomed the arrival of the Los Santos sunrise showering the room in its golden glow. The sounds of beeping cars could be heard as the city woke up and those who had to work to live decently started their days. His recently bought tier 3 penthouse apartment was a mess of clothes littered on the floor and the air was stuffy with the smell of sweat and sex sticking like a heady perfume. Satisfied, Ramee rolled himself off Carmella's body. He turned to his side to face his fiancée as he tried catching his breath. Her hair wrapped around her head like a messy halo. He watched as her eyelashes fluttered against her golden face in silence. He knew they looked like a power couple. Someone with his influence was expected to be seen with someone as angelic as her. She flinched away when he moved to brush her hair away from her face. Confused by the harsh movement of the otherwise graceful woman he softly questioned her behavior. She stared at the ceiling with a blank stare. It seemed she was contemplating what to say because she had stayed silent for a few seconds. Before he could question again she spoke.
"You called me April."
The man immediately denied it. No he hadn't. Why would he do that. They were completely different people. Why would he even mention April while they were having sex. They were friends. She's K's daughter. That would be crossing so many lines.
"You did."
Ramee combed his sweat soaked hair with his fingers. Sitting up he looked at the naked woman who held the sheets close to her.
"I didn't. Why are you starting drama. I thought we were good?"
"I didn't even cum Ramee."Ramee felt a deep wave of embarrassment. He knew that he was selfish in many ways but he never thought himself a selfish lover. In actuality he knew Carmella was right. He couldn't lie and pretend that the sex hadn't been lacking in the past few months.
Carmella wasn't the problem at all he was just too busy. He was too wrapped up in the Gallery, Vulture lé Culture and Street Team. Whenever he came back home he was too tired to entertain the woman. Ramee tried making excuses for himself. He was too ashamed to admit that he thought that was the best sex he had with her since they met. He had gotten too into his head. Blonde hair turned red and brown eyes turned blue when he closed his eyes and let his mind wander.
Apparently he had wandered too close to the sun because he slipped and said her name.
"I-"
Carmella stood up and walked to the bathroom dragging all the sheets with her. That was one way to start the morning, Ramee thought.
Fuck.•••
April woke up to the fresh scent of money. The ten thousand dollars Marty gave her was sitting on her bedside table next to her phone. She would have to deposit it while she ran her errands during the day. Reaching out for the stack she put it to her face and took a big sniff. She was back in the game.
April made enough money from scamming men that she didn't require a job like the people of the city. Her sales from WuChang were enough to pay her rent and her vlog grew large enough that she had many brand sponsors and partnerships. Kiki supplied her with custom gowns whenever she had to perform and she received free hair appointments from Bob Mulet. Whatever other money she had received was for her to hoard. She considered finding a bathtub to fill with her money so she could lay in it. She had planned on saving up for a new apartment, probably one in Little Seoul where she could be closer to her family. Maybe even a new car for herself.
Mr K had sent her 200k for the successful mission which put her account in a very comfortable position. Eric had also sent her twenty thousand dollars. The older man was getting a little bit too attached for her liking. She noticed his attempts of getting them to hang out in the passed few months. He had even offered to fly out to Las Venturas to pay her a visit. She knew she would have to rein him in soon.
