Pretty dark one. Themes of violence are mentioned in this chapter. I would like to remind readers that this is for people over 18. Possible triggers include murder and the implication of suicide.

"What do you mean she's gone?"
"I sent her on a mission."
Mr K nonchalantly scrolled on his iPad as he answered a confused and hurt Ramee.

"What type of mission? Since when do we send people on these types of missions before they get their chains."

Mr K put his iPad on the table with a sigh. He didn't know why his daughter pleaded to be sent out. He offered to send her on a vacation but she insisted on making herself 'useful'. He had no reason to deny her wishes and trusted she would succeed.

Chang knew that whatever had made April want to leave only a day after Uchiha left had something to do with the man standing in front of him. He was aware of how he stared at her. Something must have changed for them to hang around each other everyday to complete distance.

"She went on tour to Las Venturas to deal with some stolen artifacts for the jeweled dragon and the gallery. Nobody would expect a WuChang artist and social media influencer to have stolen goods. It helps that she recently released some new music. I obviously sent her with security. Miguel and Mario will make sure she's safe if anything happens." K did not like sending out new members before they proved their loyalty to the family but he would make the exception for April.

Ramee couldn't argue with what he was told. Mari, Hutch and Chawa returned from their Italy earlier in the day and it was time to send out another crew. The Japan trip was pushed forward but that didn't mean they would pass up the festivals that were happening in several parts of Las Venturas. He knew that April would soon be expected to go on one of these trips but he hadn't expected it to be so soon. He hadn't expected that they would send her without informing him. So he asked Chang why he was not kept in the loop.

"I know you are her mentor Ramee but if I were you I'd watch myself. That's my daughter we're talking about."
He last saw her two weeks ago after the kiss. He knew she was avoiding him but could not believe she would leave. Especially without saying goodbye. K then vaguely reminded him that they shouldn't forget the CG commandments. They both knew he was referring to his feelings for the woman. He couldn't even act surprised, nothing went passed K in his compound. Chang ordered him to occasionally check in with his protégé to see how she progressed but warned him to not waste too much time talking about things that were not necessary. April couldn't afford to be distracted. It was crucial for her safety.

Ramee nodded and informed K that he would be taking on Street Team with Wayne to guide them. They were already aware that the leader of Street Team, Jaylen Carter, was trying to join the gang. If all went in favour ST could work under Chang Gang along with Hydra. He left the building as soon as he was dismissed. He ignored the bright pink Mercedes that sat in his garage and instead got into his new Brabham that Eddie imported with the help of Mari.

Randy picked up the phone after 3 rings.
"Yeah."
"You knew."
"I was informed the day she left. Some things I'm not allowed to share."
Ramee held in his annoyance and reminded himself that he couldn't be upset with Randy. The smell of the beach wafted into his new car as he drove to the South side. He took the scenic route in order to think clearly about some things. Randy's voice still lingered in his head.

He had agreed that he needed an outlet or a hobby so he had practically adopted Street Team. The crew was made up of a few but very interesting people. They were all young and inexperienced. He knew that if he could guide them they would eventually be able to stand on their own. The youngest of them all -Chase O'Dell- was chubby, immature and unkempt but Ramee saw a lot of promise in the young boy. He parked at the dusty street in front of the small decrepit houses they called home.
