April stood at the Los Santos airport awaiting her ride. Mario and Miguel had returned home a week earlier than her to transport all the goods they had stolen. They had hired a group of henchmen to make things easier for them and since April was the leader of their small team she had to stay back and ensure there were no loose ends. After one final show and photoshoot she went on the earliest first class flight back home.

April would have never thought she would consider this place home. After spending six months in Las Venturas she knew that Los Santos was home for her. She had deeply missed her family but was thankful for the time she spent with her crew. In those six months April had a front seat experience to the life she wanted to join in. She learnt what it would mean to be a leader and when to pull a trigger. She learnt to lean more on Mr K as a parental figure and she got to know Mario and Miguel far better than she ever would have. She learnt that Ramee would be there for her despite whatever state their relationship was in.

"Hey! Are you done thinking to yourself!"
April's smile was automatic. She ran into the hug that was waiting for her from her brother. "Lil T!"
It had been ages since she had seen him in person. They made sure to always call each other at least once a week but it had not been the same. She held on to his Louis Vuitton blazer and inhaled the scent of Cocoa butter, marijuana and baked bread that lingered on his clothes.  Taco seemed to have missed her too because he didn't comment on the nickname and he held her for as long as she was holding on to him.

"Alright Taco move over it's my turn."
"Gorl!"
"Gorl!" April hugged Ray. While she was away the girls got a lot closer. She always made sure to call her daily and update her on what little she could learn. The 22 year old was still a hang around and was hoping she would be considered to receive a chain but she didn't want to have to beg for it. Apparently she would still get invited to smaller heists so she was content for now.

Randy pushed the girl with the two braids to the side. And carried April in a hug. "April!" He let out a wildly exaggerated cry. "I miss my president." Randy and April had taken to calling each other late at night where she would teach him how to solve a rubix cube. April knew that the white haired man was a lot more perceptive than many realised and he knew the same for her. During her absence they leaned on each other and shared their secrets and burdens. Randy was the only one (besides Garrett who she begged to shut up) who knew she was a doctor, he was also the only one who knew the full reason why she left. Ramee knew too but he didn't count. April consoled the man and gifted him a picture of a gorilla holding a rubix cube.

April realised that they had been standing outside the airport for 15 minutes. The bystanders at the airport were glancing their way to the celebrity, with some taking pictures of them. "Alright. Can we go home now I'm tired." Randy stopped by the apartments where they helped her carry her luggage. They all agreed to pick her up in two hours so that she had enough time to shower and settle back in to her apartment. After a long shower and a nap April was ready to meet with the rest of her family.

She was surprised when Randy knocked on her door and awkwardly stood in the living room. The tailored blue suit standing out against his uncomfortable frame. His demeanor was different from when they would call each other.
"Why are you shy all of a sudden?" She asked the man. He was behaving strangely.

"April I need to tell you something." She noticed the change in tone and how serious expressions. She knew Randy only ever got like this when he had important information to relay. She had a feeling she wouldn't like whatever he had to say.

"What is it?" Her eyes struggled to meet his. He kept awkwardly looking around the room and running his hair through his fingers. "I couldn't tell you earlier because I knew you had to stay focused and I didn't want to tell you in front of the others so you could have time to process this." Why was he rambling. Randy was usually clear and concise in the way that he spoke. It seemed he was trying to ease whatever he had to say to her but he was just making her more nervous.
