Deathbed

I was in my perfect feeling of whimsy. It feels like a space that was empty for a long time filled in. As I looked down the clouds, I was thinking of why Dion did that. I admit I was wrong of accusing him. I let emotion interfere me. It's been a years before I know the truth. I did... judge him.

Pumikit ako at huminga nang malalim. I was laying on the bed while Dion on the other side reading some magazines. He booked a VIP ticket for us. We are now heading to Boston.

"Flight attendants, prepare for landing please." the captain of the airplane announced. "Cabin crew, please take your seats for landing."

Napadilat ako. I saw Dion unmoved and still reading some buckets. I stood up and fixed my hair as I sat. He fastened his seatbelt.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Captain Eligio and welcome to Boston International Airport. Local time is 2:35PM. The weather looks good and with the tailwind on our side."

My heart beats faster as I heard that.

"Relax. Don't stress yourself," he murmured. "Don't show him that face of yours as if you died a years, Avi."

I sighed and nodded. May punto ang sinabi nito. I shouldn't let Waheed see me like this-a tension was all over my face, feeling paranoid. I tried to stop myself thinking about many things. Finally, I will meet Waheed after four years.

"On behalf of 113W Airlines and the entire crew, I would like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Have a nice day!"

We were escorted by some staff since we are on the first class seat. Maayos kaming sinalubong ng isang sasakyan.

I was looking outside as the car started the engine. I blew an air and tighten my holds unto the shoulder bag I was holding. The car stopped in front of the hospital.

Dion talked to the driver as I was busy checking the whole place. Waheed spend his years here, without me.

"Let's go," si Dion sa seryosong boses at nauna na sa akin.

He was wearing a navy blue tuxedo.

I sighed when we entered inside the elevator. Dion typed on his phone while I was busy searching for words. The door opened and stopped on the 6th floor.

We stopped in front of 213 room. Dion looked behind me. He licked his lips as he was looking at me.

"He's here inside this room," he informed, he looked away and swallowed hard. "Tell him all of your remaining and unspoken words as if this would be the last day you will be with him."

I nodded. I felt my hands getting cold.

"Would you hold my bag for me?" I asked.

"Just bring it. You need that," he stated.

I sighed and glanced again on the three numbers of the room before looked back at him.

A white curtain welcomed me as it covers the glass window of the room. It was dancing as the air from the window enters. The room is shouting so much softness with his clean creamy color.
