Adira and Maxine made their way back over to the cars and other teens. Steve looked between them both in interest and worry, "everything okay?" Steve asked them

"Yeah, everything is fine," Max lied, she didn't look up at him and instead kept her eyes facing down towards the ground. Steve gave her a confused look and then looked over at Adira who hadn't said anything since the two of them walked back over to the group

"Adira? Is everything okay, you know you can tell me anything right? That's what I'm here for," he told her, giving her a soft look as he placed his hand on her shoulder, bending down slightly to look her in the eyes

Adira put a fake smile on her face and nodded her head, "just peachy," Adira said with a nod. Steve didn't believe her, but he didn't say anything, not wanting to press the matter or invade her privacy, she could have been talking about Chrissy, "alright, let's motor," she said, motioning Over to the cars, quickly trying to change the subject.

Adira didn't want to think about the fact that her time is more than likely coming to an end, she was determined to figure all of this out and stop Vecna before anything happened to Maxine and possibly the rest of her friends

Nancy made her way over to her car but Steve quickly stopped her, "woah woah! Nance! Nance!" Steve quickly called out to her as he jogged over to her, "hey where are you going?"

"Oh... there is just something I want to check on first," Nancy said, avoiding making eye contact with him because he knew that he would try and stop her from going, but she really wanted to check out the lead that she believed she had

"Something you maybe want to tell the rest of the group?" Dustin asked, urging her to tell them, especially since they had just told her everything that they know

"I don't want to waste your time. It is a real shot in the dark," Nancy explained to them. Recently, she had taken an interest in 'detective' work and had been doing really well

"Come on Nance, I'm sure it wouldn't be a waste of time," Adira spoke up, giving Nancy a comforting and supportive smile, she knew how smart Nancy was and she was more than willing to hear what the girl had to say

"I'll be quick," Nancy said to her, she was great full for Adira, the brunette girl had always been someone she could talk to when she needed something and she had always believed in and trusted her. But she knew that what she was doing could be risky, and she didn't want to put Adira at more risk so she didn't plan on letting her go with her

"Yeah okay, are you out of your mind?" Steve asked Nancy in disbelief. He looked over to his sister, waiting for her to try and get Nancy to change her mind and just come with them so that she wouldn't risk being hurt while she was out by herself, "flying solo with Vecna creep on the loose?"

Nancy nodded her head, she was sure that she was going to be fine and she wouldn't take long to do it, she would be in and out. She believed that if Vecna wanted to kill her, she would know by now

"Yeah no, not happening. It's too dangerous... you need... you need someone to..." by now all of the girls were practically glaring at the boy, daring him to finish his sentence. Each of them could clearly hold their own, and each of them were sick of women being underestimated and seen as weak little things who need a 'big strong man' to protect them

Steve just nodded his head, he knew that if he were to finish the sentence, he would more than likely get a smack up the back of the head by his sister, "here, I'll stick with Nance alright?" Steve said as he chucked the keys over to his sister, "you guys go take the car and check out the shrink."

"Steve," Adira groaned out in annoyance as her brother chucked the keys over to her

"Wait, can Adira even drive?" Dustin asked, looking at the older girl with worry and disbelief. Adira let out a scoff and rolled her eyes at the boy

"Excuse me Henderson, but I happen to be an amazing driver," Adira said truthfully, she was actually a really good driver, even Billy let her drive his car on occasion, and he never let anyone do that.

"Well let me rephrase that then, do you even have a licenese?" Dustin asked her suspiciously, looking between her and Steve's car

"I suggest you choose your next words wisely or Vecna won't be the only thing you need to worry about," Adira told the boy. She would never actually do anything to hurt him and Dustin knew that, so he liked to think that it made it okay for him to test her limits

"That's not an answer to my question," Dustin told her, shrugging his shoulders as he looked at her with an annoying grin

"Yes you idiot, I have a license, I even have a car," she said and Dustin, Max and Robin looked at her with wide eyes

Dustin let out a sarcastic laugh, "wait, you have a car? I never see you driving anywhere," he told her, saying what Robin and max had also both been thinking

"That's because I hate driving," Adira said and shrugged her shoulders, "we don't have time for this, let's just figure out what is happening."

"I can drive," Max suggests, causing a small snort of laughter to fall from Adiras mouth, she already knew what was coming as she turned to look at her brother

"No. No, nope. Never again, please anybody but you. No. Adira just drive the car please, you're the only one out of all of you that can drive," Steve begged her, not wanting his car to be trashed again

"Wait, what about me?" Dustin asked, liking the idea of driving the expensive looking car. His eyes skimmed over the shiny BMW in excitement, practically drooling at the idea of driving it

"No," Steve answered immediately, "not only would I be scared about you crashing my car, there is no way I'm letting my sister get into a car with you behind the wheel."

"Come on," Dustin begged Steve, he had never driven before but he was sure that he would be a natural

"No." Steve said and shook his head sternly, "not happening."

"Alright okay, this is stupid," Robin said with a loud sigh and grabbed a walkie talkie out of Dustin's pocket and then grabbed Adira softly by the wrist, her cheeks going slightly pink as she dragged Adira past Steve, "how about us ladies stick together?"

Adira grinned at the idea and chucked the keys over to Steve, giving him a thumbs up as he stumbled slightly, struggling to catch the keys, "star basketball player everyone," Adira joked, giggling at her brother who looked completely stunned, he didn't want the girls out there without him to protect them but he knew that he couldn't say anything

"You know, unless you think that you need to protect us?" Robin asked Steve in a sarcastic voice, already knowing what he was thinking. Steve just gave Robin a look as he have up. Robin snickered before turning around and beginning to walk off

Adira frowned as she noticed the look that Nancy gave Steve. Adira knew that Nancy wasn't exactly a fan of Robin, but she was sure that once she got to know her, then that would change. "C'mon Nance, nothing like a girls day out right?" Adira asked the girl playfully.

Nancy didn't say anything as she nodded her head and turned around. Adira and Nancy went to catch up with Robin who was a few meters ahead of them

"Be careful!" Steve called out to all of them

"Don't worry Steve, I'll take good care of Adira!" Robin called out, turning around and sending him a wink, nobody thought anything of it except for Steve and Robin

"Robin!" Steve warned the girl
