Eddie had been the first one to wake up, his eyes fluttering open and immediately landing on the girl whose chest was against his side and arm was hanging over his waist. Her lips were slightly parted and soft snores were falling from her plump lips.He went to reach out and brush a strand of hair out of her face but decided against it, not wanting to accidentally wake her up. He reached down and pulled the blanket higher up over their bare bodies, not wanting Adira to get cold.
His eyes rested on her face, she looked so peaceful and her eyebags had practically disappeared. This was the first time in days that the girl had allowed herself to fall asleep. Her arm suddenly tightened around his waist slightly and her face scrunched up, her breathing becoming rigid and uneven, "Adira wake up," he said, realising that she was beginning to have a bad dream.
"Run," she muttered out under her breath, sweat was beginning to form on her forehead
"Run Eddie," she muttered out again, her breathing only seemed to quicken as she began to move slightly, "run."
"Adira hey, wake up," Eddie told her again, sitting up and shaking the girl
"Please just run! This isn't the time to try and be a hero okay, run Eddie!" she cried out, "Eddie please don't do this!" Eddie quickly began to shake the girl, concern quickly filling him
"Adira wake up, its just a dream, wake up," Eddie quickly exclaimed, shaking the girl, "it's just a dream sweetheart, it's okay," Adira's eyes shot open and she woke up with a large gasp, sitting up quickly with fear written all over her face.
She looked at Eddie with wide eyes, small whimpers falling from her lips as she reached up to grab his face, scared that this wasn't real "Ed-Eddie?" He was okay.
Adira pulled her hands away and began to cry, looking away from Eddie as the images from her nightmare continued to flash through her mind. She went to pull herself out of the boat but Eddie wrapped his arms around her waist and put one hand in her hair, pulling her into his chest, "Shh- No, hey no, dont panic sweetheart, you are safe now okay, I'm here and I'm not going to let anything hurt you."
Adira began to sob into his chest, it wasn't her that she was worried about, it was him, "It was so real Eddie, it was so real," she cried into him, he ran his fingers through her hair trying to calm her down
"It's okay sweetheart, do you want to talk about it?" He asked her softly. She shook her head and forced herself to stop crying as she laid back down on top of him, trying to keep herself calm and get rid of the thoughts, it was just a nightmare, it wasn't real. Eddie is fine, he is right next to her and he was fine.
"Eddie, I-" she wanted to tell him about the dream, tell him that she was wrong about what she had said the night of the campaign. She wanted to tell him that he needed to run, but she doubted he would listen to her. And besides, it was just a dream, none of it was real. He was right here, they were in the boathouse, not the upside down.
They sat there in silence for another 10 minutes, just enjoying each others presence before Adira spoke up, "I had fun last night," she muttered out to him, a grin beginning to form on her face as she thought back to it
Eddie looked down at her with a smile, "yeah me too," Eddie said, a smirk forming on his lips.
Adira let out a small and tired huff as she pulled herself ontop of Eddie, resting her chin on his bare chest as she grinned up with him, "So much for taking things slow though right?"
"Do you regret it?" Eddie asked her softly, insecurity buzzing in the back of his mind
"Hell no," Adira muttered and placed a kiss on his chest before placing one on his jaw, "I'm really happy Eddie, you make me really happy," she whispered to him, making him grin widely. His cheeks went red, causing the girl to giggle, "you look really cute when you blush Munson," Adira whispered to him and then pulled herself off him, standing up, not even bothering to cover herself.
Eddie couldn't help but stare at her with a smirk, she looked absolutely beautiful and he still couldn't get over the fact that he had actually got the girl of his dreams. Adira walked over to the corner of the room where Eddie's hellfire shirt had been thrown and she picked it up, pulling it over her head with a content sigh, untucking her hair, making the shirt lift up and show more of her legs.
The shirt practically swallowed her due to how short she really was. Eddie couldn't help but chuckle at the sight
Eddie just watched her in awe as she walked around the room, cleaning up slightly before walking over to where all the grocery bags were, she began to look through them, a disappointed huff falling from her lips, "there's no food left," she muttered out to him with a pout. Eddie was too busy staring at the girls exposed thighs and the way that she looked in his shirt to even notice that she was talking to him, "Love," she said, trying to get his attention
Eddie snapped out of his trance and looked up at her, "sorry sweetheart?" he said to her, forcing his eyes to look up at her face, the ghost of his smile still tugging on his lips as he waited for her to repeat what she had said
"You ate all the food Ed," Adira said with a small groan and grabbed her underwear, pulling it on before making her way over to the door of the boathouse, "do you think there will be any food inside?"
Eddie let out a small groan as he pulled himself out of the boat and pulled his briefs and jeans back on and then made his way over to the girl, placing a kiss on her cheeks before pushing the door open and stepping to the side, letting the girl go through first, "after you my dear," he said with a grin. Adira thanked him and walked out of the boathouse then the two of them made their way up to the main house.
Eddie grabbed onto Adira's hand and led her through the house and over to the kitchen, he grabbed her around the waist and lifted her up onto the countertop before he began to rumage through the cupboards and drawers, "nope, nope." He opened the cupboard above the stove and pulled out a can of spaghetti-os, "yeah," Eddie said to him with a sarcastic snort, "you'll do."
He turned the stove on and put the spaghetti into a pan over the stove, mixing it around a bit as he waited for it to heat up. He made his way back over to Adira and stood in between her legs. She wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled up at him happily.
"You look so beautiful," Eddie whispered to her, placing his hands on her waist before reaching down to place a kiss on her lips.
"Nuh uh, we have to brush our teeth first," Adira said with a grin, causing the boy to pout in disappointment, "sorry love," she said to him with a grin before placing a kiss on his jaw and then hopping off the counter and grabbing two bowls from the cupboard. Eddie grabbed the bowls from her hands and then began to shovel the spaghetti into the bowls
Eddie passed Adira her bowl and a spoon before quickly placing a kiss on her lips, smirking widely as he pulled away, "sorry sweetheart, I couldn't help it," he explained and grabbed his bowl and his walkie talkie, "Hey Dustin, this is Eddie the banished. Are you there?" he asked before he and Adira began to make their way back to the boathouse.
Nobody replied, Adira and Eddie gave each other a worried look, "Hey Dustin... anybody can you hear me?"
Adira stuck her hand out towards Eddie and he handed her the walkie talkie, "Dustin Henderson i swear to the gods, if you are sleeping right now I'm going to walk over there and whoop your ass. You're going to give me a bloody heart attack if you don't answer."
"Hey it's Nancy," they suddenly heard through the microphone. Adira let out a sigh of relief
"Hey Nance, Um Eddie and I are outta food, do you reckon you could do a delivery run please, wait actually, scratch that, could you maybe please just come and pick us up and bring us back?"
"Yeah I'll get Steve to go over and get you," Nancy replied, "I gotta go, see ya Addy," she said and then she was gone
"Uh, okay thanks," Adira muttered awkwardly
