Harry's Pov

I was a nervous wreck. Today, me, Lottie and Louis decided to meet with his friends that he wanted me and Lottie to meet after a day of catching up together.

Louis had told us he met his friends at college and they came with him back home for a vacation and he wanted us to meet them because Louis thought that we'd all get along.

I was happy to meet some of Louis's friends and Lottie was too, but I couldn't help but to be anxious.

I mean, like what if they don't like me? Or Lottie even? But come on, I knew they'd like Lottie. She was very likeable and out-going, always making friends with the people around her; no matter who they are. She tried to get me to go out with her but I was always too shy to do so. It was out of my comfort zone and no matter how many times she'd tried to convince me, she'd stay home with me instead to hang out with me.

This is why I loved Lottie as my best friend because she would never leave me for any other friend she has, as many have tried.

But I was also nervous about the fact of seeing Louis again, especially how Lottie kept pushing at the fact that she knew for a fact that Louis returned my feelings. As much as I wanted to, I didn't want to have hope for it but still, it got me nervous to see him again, the butterflies that wrapped around my gut whenever I saw him.

I just couldn't help it.

My nerves were getting to me while I tried, but was hopelessly failing, to pick an outfit. Wiggling, I couldn't help my doubts while looking through my shirts.

It was only going to be me, Lottie, Louis and his friends but I just wanted to make a good impression because all I had was Lottie, Louis and well...Niall.

But Niall always stays in the ocean and never comes up to the surface no matter how many times I've tried to convince him.

Niall was another one of my best friends. He helped me when I grew my tail before I could drown. He taught me everything I now know about mermaids.

My phone blared with a loud ring tone, jumping me from my thoughts. I breathed out a shaky sigh, going to snatch the damn phone to see Lottie's name on the ID.

"Harry, are you ready? Me and Louis are right outside your house," her voice questioned, Louis's voice coming through as a mumble. "Louis says 'hi'."

I groaned. "Lotts, I don't know what to wear!"

She stayed silent for a second before bursting out in laughter. "Really, H?"

"Yes!" I hissed. "I want to make a good impression! I'm really nervous."

When I admitted that, Lottie sighed, understanding in a second. "Its alright, H. They will like you, alright? Just wear that black shirt you once wore and your old boots that I always tell you to replace but you snap at me and tell me no because to you, they aren't replaceable..."

She rambled and I couldn't help but laugh softly because it made me relax.

"Alright...I'll go and get ready," I sighed, smiling. "Thanks, Lotts."

I could hear her smile. "Always, H."

I was so grateful for the fact that my father works all week and late nights because if he saw what I was wearing, he'd burn it.

I mean, it really wasn't that bad and I could admit, that I felt good and comfortable. And based on the faces of Louis and Lottie when I walked up to the two them, they could agree.
