Lottie's Pov

I couldn't open my mouth to scream at the gun shots but I certainly couldn't hold myself together. Scared out of my mind, all I could do was cower behind Louis who protected me.

I tried desperately to cover my ears from the ruthless sounds but it was no use. When the shots stopped, our boat suddenly rocked back on the waves. Thats when I let out a little scream when Louis slumped back against me. I heard my mum call put to me but I did not hear a word she said so I quickly latched onto Louis and the side of the boat.

Thats when I realized he was unconscious.

"Louis?" I said his name to be sure but he remained unmoving. The boat was still rocking, the waves too loud. All of the boys and my mum were holding onto one side or another of the boat to not fall off the side. I held onto my limp brother so he wouldn't fall off too.

Forever must've passed, even though truly I bet just a couple minutes passed, before the boat stopped, the anchor finally catching something big enough to hook on. The boat lurched and we all went with it, slowly rocking back and forth till it settled and the waves were decently quiet.

"Mum," I whimpered, laying Louis down steadily to give him a look through. "Louis is bleeding!"

The feeling of alertness shot through the air among us. My mum hurried over quickly, dropping the gun, she still held, to scoop up Louis onto her lap. Backing away, I gave her space as she inspected Louis.

As far as I could see, Louis was bleeding from the shoulder, his left hand and arm, as well as in his hip. I felt sick because he looked so peaceful despite being shot many times.

My mum had a stoney face, teary eyes, and a tight closed mouth. "He's been shot as far as I can see five times....we have to get him on land, somewhere other then here."

She looked up to the lads that had came closer, each of their faces paled and scared. My mum's words snapped me out of my dizzy state so that I could take in our surroundings. Pushing myself up sluggishly to the tops of my knees, I peered over the side of the boat, to see the cliff of rocks and sand just a few yards away so the water must be at least neck level.

"We could carry him there," Liam's voice was stained. My mum nodded slowly, her eyes darting side to side in rapid thoughts.

"Ok, alright, just don't get him in the water. Zayn, Liam, you two get his legs," they followed her orders then my mum looked to me. "Lotts, you've gotta help me with his upper body."

I didn't say a word, instead I stood slowly upon shaky legs. Breathing in deep, I tried to calm myself as we surrounded my injured brother.

"On three, we'll lift him," my mum's voice shook. We all knelt.

"One....two...three!"

Harry's Pov

My heart was caught up all in my throat, pounding rapidly. My mind was only filled with the thought of Louis and how my father said he was hurt...I had to trust him.

Me and Niall were racing back to the surface. At that point, I did not care about Desmond or what my father will do to him even though a small part of me wishes I had made him suffer instead. But Louis was my priority.

We sped through the waves, zipping past sea life to the surface. As the water got shallower, we had to slow down so we could pop up heads up to see our surroundings. All I could see was snap and I started to panic but then Niall pointed off somewhere in the distant.

"Look! I can see them," his eyes wide and alert. The water was so shallow, we had to used our hands to propel us through the water to the small group of our friends and family, huddled around a body in the sand.
