Niall's Pov

I was so fucking confused.

Harry and Lottie spent so much time explaining as much as they could about the surface world and trying to get me to remember and describe it all back to them so I could act normal or whatever to the humans, like I was one of them.

I tried, I really did, but it was exhausting trying to learn all of these new things all at once.

I blinked at them once they seemed to finally finish. They stared back at me with wide eyes.

"Do you have-" Lottie started but I cut her off.

"Can you explain it all again?" I huffed, flapping my tail that was so close to being done and dry. I was ready to feel what legs were.

Harry laughed softly. "Niall, you've got this. Just don't freak out everything time you see something strange and ask us what it is, ok?"

I sighed, still not feeling comforted. "Yeah...I'm just-this is alot!"

Lottie looked sympathetic. "I know...but thats the human world! Once we get you walking and stuff, we'll show you around and soon, it won't be so complicated!"

I sighed, flopping back on my back to stare up at the sky. They told me everything about a home and what was in; a kitchen, a bathroom and a room and things humans used in those rooms and explained how to use those things. They told me about food and what to eat or drink and not to eat and not to drink.

They comforted me by telling me walking wouldn't be so hard and it'll come naturally to me. They told me about...certain parts that I never even knew I had because it was always covered by my tail.

It was so interesting and thrilling but also very, very, overwhelming.

Silence was that hang in the air amongst us and I kept my mind going about thinking about the crazy things in this world, trying to remember every single thing they taught me. But i knew it was going to be a challenge to remember it all.

It wasn't until I saw Harry move from the corner of my eye. Immediately, I sat up and watched in awe as Harry's tail started to fade away and split into two limbs with...feet?

Harry wiggled his 'feet' with a sigh, relaxing back.

"Those are legs?" I asked finally, watching Lottie turn away as Harry stood, taking the piece of clothing I remembered called pants.

Harry looked at me, putting on a shorter pair of pants and then a longer pair of pants over them. "Yes, these are legs and these are feet which help you walk or run or skip."

I scrunched up my face. "It looks weird..."

Harry and Lottie laughed at me, making me sit there with a scrunched up face and my lips popping out in a mild frown.

Human things...I swear.

I went to sit back and stare back up at the sky, I've never got to see until now, but suddenly, I felt this very weird tingling sensation on my tail. I snapped up, my jaw dropping as I watch my tail disappear and split into two.

"Holy shit, holy shit-" I started but Harry and Lottie were right there.

"Don't freak out, Niall!" Lottie laughed. "Meet your new legs!"

I stared at them, brows scrunched together. "How do i...like make them work?"

Harry was there, patting my shoulder. "Its easy. Just try and wiggle your feet and then start bending them a little to get you used to the feeling and then we'll try and get you to walk."
