Niall's Pov

Zayn was on one side of me and Lottie was on the other. The three of them, Lottie, Zayn and Liam, were currently, dragging me with them to the place they called the 'port'.

On the way, we managed to lose Harry and Louis.

I nearly panicked, wanting to go and find Harry again but Lottie seemed calm and didn't mind their absence. So I just tried to relax and enjoy the walk to the port. When the walk fell into silence, both Liam and Lottie fell back a step and let Zayn and me walk together.

I was nervous, even giving Lottie a look, but she merely smirked at me knowingly. Occasionally, Zayn's hand would brush against mine and I would hear Lottie and Liam talking from time to time. The sights were nice but I had no idea what the signs for things were.

And I think Zayn noticed. "Is this your first time going to the port?"

I jumped at the sound of his voice and turned to him. "Uhm, yeah...I've never gone this way before so I don't know where or what everything is."

My heart raced and I willed myself not to show my nerves. But when Zayn smiled at me, I relaxed a little.

"Well, when we first started the walk, most of those were small shops and little businesses. The port isn't too far away ahead of us," Zayn pointed to where a lot of boats, lights and buildings were crowded together, hanging over a bit of the waters. "Now we are getting closer to more of the bigger shops, bait shops and restaurants and pubs."

I pretended to know what he described and nodded along to his words, trying to convince the both of us that I understood. I feared that he'd noticed but Zayn never held a questioning look.

"Its more of a party area. Its even more active at night but if you're not into the big crowds, its better to go at this time anyways," he finished, looking away with a thoughtful look crossing his face.

"Do you go here alot? With your friends?" I asked, genuinely curious.

Zayn shook his head. "I only know most of the place because of Louis and how'd he always describe it. I only went to this town a couple times when I was younger and when we moved back up here after two years of college with Louis, we got to explore the town again and everything."

More and more questions bubbled on my lips. "How long have you known Louis?"

I just wanted to know everything.

Zayn smirked a bit. "I met him in college but it feels like I've known him for forever. Truly, I consider him a brother. Same with Liam."

I didn't ask him anymore questions, even though I wanted to, in fear of annoying the gorgeous human that walked peacefully next to me. I also fell silent as we got closer to the place, the once desolate streets now bustling with humans everywhere.

I felt nervous, afraid that they could see right through me and know my secret, but I tried to keep my face calm.

But I wasn't doing a good enough job I suppose because from the corner of my eye, Zayn gave me a thoughtful glance.

"Whats wrong? You fell silent," his voice calmed me immensely but still, I couldn't shake my nervous feeling.

I searched for something to say. "I, well, I'm not use to big crowds..."

It wasn't the truth but it wasn't a lie either.

Zayn seemed understanding. "Well, we can look around for a few minutes if you want before heading back to let you get settled at our flat."

My heart fluttered. I didn't ask why I wasn't going to stay with either Lottie or Harry, they seemed to push the idea that I stay with the humans. I didn't know how to feel. Lottie and Harry seem to trust them a lot but I didn't know if I could say the same.
