"Fake" Writers

Shout out to @MeepGirl84 for the idea for the last update!

Any who, here's the second installment of my "Fake" series.

Now. You may or may not be asking, what the hell do you mean by, "fake writers?"

Well! I'm glad you asked.

When I say, "fake writers", I mean authors on Wattpad who seem to be all about,"their fans or readers", and they're most definitely not.

They tell you one thing, and then they go and do another. Let's just say for time sake, they say they don't care about the number of reads or comments, or votes. But you and I both know damn well they do.

I mean, for me personally, when I first started uploading here on Wattpad, I thought I wouldn't either.

But honestly, I do. There's a sense of euphoria, a sort of high, if you will, writers get when their work passes a certain number of reads, comments, or votes.

Basically, you feel pretty damn proud. And to be honest, I didn't understand that until my work started getting attention.

And now, I'm saying all of this because I'm speaking from personal experience. Which means, I'm not bashing anyone who loves to get reads on their work. Because whether you admit it or not, we all do.

But there's a difference between being proud of yourself, and straight-up doing it for the glory and admiration.

To me, you write because you've got thoughts you think need to be heard. Not because you've got an agenda in getting reads like this is some damn competition.

Bitch, this isn't the damn Watty's. You're not racing against. Please calm that down. Write from your heart, not from your pride.

If it's as good as you want it to be, the reads, or comments, or votes, will be enough to make you proud.

But hey, everyone's different.

THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE EVERYONE. SOME WRITERS SET GOALS FOR THEMSELVES BEFORE THEY UPLOAD A NEW CHAPTER. THAT'S DIFFERENT.

I'm talking about those of us who don't give a shit about the faithful folks they have reading their stuff. That's all.

So as usual, I advise no one to get butt-hurt.

Maybe you have a different opinion, and I respect that. Matter of fact, let me know in the comments. We can have a little chat. Lol.

Also, thanks again to @MeepGirl84 for inspiring me to write the last update. It's faithful readers like her that make me want to keep updating.

Anyways as I write this, WPP is at 969 reads.
